New publication from the #ICC_WaterHealth, 1st-authored by our PhD students Iris Schachner-Gröhs & Michael Koller out in #WaterResearch (IWA Publishing): Linking #antibioticresistance gene patterns with advanced #faecalpollution assessment and environmental key parameters along 2300 km of the Danube #River. https://lnkd.in/dfme3aRt Highlights: • First systematic study on antibiotic resistance markers in the whole Danube River. • New holistic approach linking ARGs with advanced faecal pollution diagnostics. • Human faecal pollution as dominant factor for observed resistance patterns. • Hotspots identified in middle and lower river sections and in specific tributaries. • intI1 and sul1 detected ubiquitously, ESBL and carbapenemase genes at hotspots. Congrats to everyone involved! #AMR #OneHealth #water
I am extremely happy to share our freshly published paper on AMR in the Danube River, which contains key findings from my PhD project! 🔎 💧😍💧 🔍 Thanks to all the Co-Authors! https://lnkd.in/d3uXbiAx
