#CyberCoalition, one of the world’s largest cyber #defence exercises, is designed by NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) to strengthen NATO , its #Allies, and #partners’ ability to #protect their #networks and #operate in cyberspace. This annual event, which has been a staple of NATO’s planning since 2008, is the platform to #test and #exchange on NATO’s #cyber defence. During the exercise, Allied Command Transformation – in collaboration with Allied Command Operations #SACEUR and JFC Naples (NATO) , with industry support – led an experimentation campaign on Cyberspace #Situational #Awareness. Based on a realistic operational plan and using a platform demonstrator, the experiment #correlated #mission, threat, and network #information to #generate #Cyberspace Situational Awareness #dashboards. The outcomes, based on feedback received from the #operationalcommunity are already #informing the #capability procurement process, as well as the processes that operational #commands can adopt to support evaluating cyber risks #impact over the mission.

#Cyber ONE of NATO‘s Five War-Fighting-Domains #NATO recognized #Cyberspace as a Domain of #Operations in 2016. However, due to the rapid development, the still young Domain and the limited experience available, its operationalization is not complete and the possibilities are currently not exhausted. In order to integrate #Cyber as a mature Domain with its full potential in Multi Domain Operations (#MDO), NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Cyber Branch is developing corresponding concepts in collaboration with Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) To provide the necessary Cyber Capabilities for tomorrow, various Cyber Programs are being run, e.g. to improve Cyber Situational Awareness and for new, operationally oriented Cyber Ranges. NATO's Flagship Cyber Exercise, Cyber Coalition, is also being conducted by #ACT with extensive participation from #ACO,#JointForceCommands, #JointWarfareCenter, various entities from NATO Headquarters, NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (#CCDCoE), NATO Communications and Information Agency (#NCIA), as well as with the participation of academia and industry. There, exiting mechanisms are being exercised, the #Alliance ability to conduct Cyberspace Operations is being enhanced, and input for NATO Cyberspace Transformation is being generated. Close cooperation with academia and industry is particularly important in order to adequately incorporate the rapidly evolving Cyber Domain into ACT's work, which looks far into the future - #WinAsATeam #NATO #WeAreNATO #Cyber #Strategy

Reflecting on an inspiring day at the NATO Youth Summit in Stockholm! We dived into pressing issues such as disinformation, cyber, artificial intelligence, and the emerging technologies that are shaping our world, and how innovation and responsibility converge when protecting our democracies. Another recurring theme was the essential role of public and private partnerships in maintaining NATO's competitive edge. These collaborations are crucial for innovating and implementing the robust security measures needed in today's rapidly evolving technological and geopolitical landscape. For my part, valuable transatlantic connections were made and I deepened my understanding of the challenges that our allies face.
