Last night alone, almost ninety “Shahed” drones were shot down. This is a serious result. I thank everyone for their precision: our mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft crews, anti-aircraft gunners, electronic warfare specialists — everyone. You have done an excellent job in the skies across many of our regions. And it is also crucial to increase Ukraine's skies defense capabilities. We are doing everything for that. And now, if such a significant result can be achieved in the defense against the “Shahed” drones, it is an obvious proof that we can be stronger both in the defense against missiles and in the defense against Russian military aircraft. Everything depends on the weapons in the hands of our warriors. We need reliable air defense systems; we need sufficient range of our weapons. Russian terror must lose every time the occupier tries to destroy life in Ukraine. And it is not just our security. It is the security of everyone neighboring Russia. We will continue to work with our partners — to persuade them, to search for what is needed for our defense in the world and supply it to Ukraine, to cooperate in the production of necessary weapons. All this is our shared defense of everyone in Europe, of everyone in the world who values life.

The exact capabilities of each US military aircraft and drone system are classified information. Knowing this information could be used to plan against US defenses, so it's not publicly available. However, I can share some general information about US airpower: * The US Air Force operates a vast fleet of fighter jets, bombers, and drones. * These aircraft carry a variety of conventional weapons, including bombs, missiles, and rockets. * Modern US weaponry is known for its precision and effectiveness. * The US Air Force trains extensively for various combat scenarios, including deploying large-scale air attacks. Would you like to learn more about: * Specific types of US fighter jets or bombers (e.g., F-22 Raptor, B-52 Stratofortress) * Different types of bombs and missiles used by the US Air Force * The role of airpower in modern warfare While I can't provide specific classified details, I hope this information is helpful!

The name of the UAV that recently flew to Kyiv has become known: According to available data , this is the development of Gerber, which the Russian Armed Forces position as the junior series of suicide bombers. The tasks of "Gerberas" will be different from those of "Geraniums/Shaheds". In addition to attacks on targets, reconnaissance elements and tasks to divert the attention of air defense systems will be added.

Pilotless jet fighters that can fly 30 feet above the ground to their targets or straight toward a barrage of enemy missiles are being developed by the United States Air Force to help deter China. The soaring cost of existing military aircraft and advances in flying software have the Air Force pivoting toward a new generation of pilotless jets to bolster a fleet that its leaders say is the smallest and oldest since it became a separate service in 1947. The Air Force wants at least 1,000 of the mini-fighters now being developed, including hundreds within five years. They would escort and protect crewed aircraft such as the F-35 and the new B-21 bomber, carry their own weapons to attack other planes and targets on the ground and act as scouts and communications hubs in the sky. The drones, known as Collaborative Combat Aircraft, or CCAs, are part of a $6 billion program. https://lnkd.in/ee67fQ_f

Ukraine receives more defense support, including a Mistral air defense system and a third Patriot air defense system. Ukraine received short-range Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems and missiles for them from Estonia. The Mistral is a modern anti-aircraft missile defense system designed in France to defend against helicopters and aircraft. At the same time, Germany confirmed the arrival of the third Patriot air defense system in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Latvia has prepared its next batch of aid for Ukraine with 2,500 drones worth €4M, which will be provided gradually during July as part of the drone coalition led by Latvia. The first shipment of 300 drones will arrive in the next few days, it was confirmed in Vilnius on July 5. For this year, Latvia has allocated €20M to the drone coalition, of which more than €10M is allocated for purchasing drones from the Latvian defense industry. In April and May, 135 combat drones and EW equipment worth €1M were handed over. In addition, The Bulgarian parliament discussed the provision of €80M in aid to Ukraine before the NATO summit in Washington on June 9. https://lnkd.in/dt7sCwnX

SOUTH Korea’s armed forces put on a display of its military might in a massive military parade to mark its 76th Armed Forces Day on October 1. On this occasion, around 5,000 troops and 340 units of various materiel such as K2 main battle tanks (MBT), K9 self-propelled howitzers (SPH), Long-range Surface-to-Air Missile (L-SAM) systems, quadruped robots, unmanned surface, sub-surface vessels and aircraft flooded Seongnam just south of Seoul. Stealing the show was the South’s latest surface-to-surface ballistic missile, the Hyunmoo-5 which broke cover in its first public reveal. Carried aboard two 9-axled transporter erector launchers (TEL), the Hyunmoo-5s are central to the Republic of Korea Armed Forces’ Massive Punishment and Retaliation (KMPR) plan against a major North Korean attack. According to reports, it is capable of carrying 8 or 9-tonne conventional warhead that can penetrate deeply into the earth and destroy underground bunkers anywhere in the North. It is the latest in the Hyunmoo family of missiles comprising ballistic and cruise missiles, the preceding Hyunmoo-4 was unveiled at last year’s parade and can only deliver a two-tonne payload in comparison to the Hyunmoo-5. Following that, a United States Air Force (USAF) B-1B Lancer heavy bomber flew over Seoul Air Base for the first time alongside a pair of ROK Air Force (ROKAF) F-15K fighters, reiterating the partnership between the ROK and the US. Additionally, the KF-21 fighter currently being developed also partook in a flypast along with the stealth F-35A fighter jets while the ROKAF Black Eagles aerobatic team put on a show. ROK Special Operations Forces (SOF) and AH-64E Apache attack helicopters were also involved in demonstrations. https://lnkd.in/dUU99si2

After months of preparation and pilot training, the first fleet of the long-awaited F-16 fighter jets is set to arrive in Ukraine from NATO member states and be deployed this summer. Zelensky has said they are essential to help Ukrainians counter Russia's aerial dominance and “unblock the skies”. Russian forces have been preparing for the F-16s too, and have stepped up bombing attacks on a number of Ukrainian airbases, to limit the impact of the valuable planes even before they are deployed. The challenges Ukraine faces as it prepares to deploy the sophisticated aircraft for the first time raise concerns that the US-built jets may not be sufficiently protected from Russian missiles. Taking advantage of gaps in Ukraine’s air-defence systems, Russia has been saturating the skies over Ukraine with spy drones, to launch ferocious attacks on Ukrainian positions with a swarm of powerful guided bombs daily, and help its ground forces to make slow and costly gains. F-16s require perfectly smooth runways swept clear of stones and other small items of debris, if they are not to run the risk of engine failure. Any attempt to improve the infrastructure on existing bases will become visible to the Russians.

🇮🇳What Makes India's Prachand Helicopter the 'Giant' of Military Aviation India's versatile, multirole attack helicopter Prachand ('fierce' in Sanskrit) is perhaps the most potent chopper to perform in high-altitude areas, says Major General (Retd) Sanjay Soi: ◾️ A multirole helicopter, it can operate against tanks, infantry, and slow-flying aircraft like UAVs and drones. For example, if it is operating in a desert, it can destroy enemy tanks with the help of its anti-tank-guided missiles. ◾️ Prachand can also fly low, it can support the ground forces in destroying the adversary's bunkers with its cannons, bombs, and rockets HAL on verge of securing maiden export order from the Philippines🇵🇭 🗣 "The Prachand helicopter is capable of supporting the Filipino Defense Forces in their various missions - defending their large-chain islands, carrying out anti-infantry roles, conducting counter-insurgency operations, and supporting their ground troops and the Air Force during combat missions during a conflict," Soi explained. Previously, the Southeast Asian nation became the first foreign buyer of the Supersonic BrahMos missile from India.

Interesting report two days ago out of Bulgaria on Russian A-50 radar aircraft, similar to our AWACS (but far less capable). The report claims the A-50 is being successful in targeting Ukraine. Using its airborne radar. Today over the Sea of Azov, an A-50 decided to join the Russian submarine fleet after being greeted by a Patriot missile. A-50 pilots should learn to stop smoking on planes, and to stop flying anywhere near Ukraine. The A-50 is estimated to cost $330 million USD. Russia only has a handful of these. Likely less than 10. It is also reported another bomber, IL-22, has opted to join the underwater Russian fleet. The fastest growing division in the Russian military. This also is very expensive and rare. Likely fewer than 10. So on one day Ukraine has taken out 10% of Russia’s radar aircraft and bombers. And these successful attacks will force Russia to change their strategy and tactics to bomb civilians. And after recently taking out 20% of Russia’s Black Sea fleet.
