Leggera Technologies, LLC has had the great pleasure of working with our 2024 summer interns. They have brought positive energy, questioned why we do what we do, and completed projects for different departments. Alex Fahy is studying finance at Arizona State University and has focused his attention at Leggera on quality processes, marketing, and production KPIs. Learned/Quote: "When you are trying to grow a company, every piece, person, and task matters." Andrew Pleet is studying finance at Michigan State University and has focused on calculating our carbon footprint, cost, and AP/AR. Learned/Quote: "Every part of a company leads back to the product and all the details that come with it." I am so happy that these gentlemen are experiencing and working in an area that combines engineering, production, and running a business, learning about: - Drawings / Tolerances / Engineering - The importance of a strong process to ensure repeatable quality - Maintaining discipline both in the office and on the shop floor - "what gets measured gets done" In summary, we are going to be ok… the next generation will do just fine 😊 Tim Gould Dennis Collins Rivian Ford Motor Company Stellantis

The Dallas-Fort Worth Supply Chain Shadow Days, held last week over the course of two days and at 7 different companies, has received great feedback from students and companies alike. Hear from Lily Raccasi, senior University of Arkansas - Sam M. Walton College of Business student, who shadowed both Uber Freight and Toyota North America during the two-day event. 💡 Fun fact: 100% of participating companies surveyed "Agreed" or "Strongly Agreed" that the DFW Shadow Days "will likely lead to us hiring a University of Arkansas student for a job or internship." Pretty good, right? #SupplyChainU #WaltonSupplyChain #DFWShadowDays

What a great week! This past Wednesday, I attended the #NationalInternDay networking event hosted by Tenneco and even got to ask Jim Voss the first question of the day! It was so cool to meet interns and employees from different Tenneco locations and hear about their unique experiences. Thank you, Bethany Schira, and everyone else who helped organize such an amazing event! Thank you, Jim, and the rest of the panel, for offering such encouraging advice as we interns navigate our career pathways! A key takeaway: Make what you do your passion. In a career path, there will be highs and lows, peaks and valleys, wins, and not losses, but opportunities to grow. Get uncomfortable! Ask questions! Embrace these growth opportunities, and combined with passion, you'll be climbing your way to the next peak before you know it.
In celebration of #NationalInternDay, our CEO Jim Voss offered invaluable #advice on navigating careers and the industry, and how to do it #TheTennecoWay. Thanks to our #interns and young professionals worldwide who contribute to our success! We’re excited to see you continue to drive the future the Tenneco Way. This week, I spoke with General Motors' #interns, an opportunity I look forward to each summer. Their questions displayed a desire to learn – from leadership lessons to my point of view on the auto industry – and gave me the opportunity to share #advice I’ve learned along the way: Own your job, don’t rent it. Investing in your role and maximizing every opportunity won’t go unnoticed. Be curious about new technologies. Don’t be afraid to leverage technology to better your work. Share your point of view. Even if it isn’t what comes of the final decision, your voice will make the discussion more well-rounded. To our interns, thank you for choosing to spend your summer at General Motors. Our people are the most important part of GM and the future we are building – I’m so glad each of you are part of this journey.

What happens when your firm gets a new prospect or lead? If the first step and all the following steps aren’t clearly articulated, your team may be leaving business opportunities on the table. Over the last eight years, every high-performing RIA that we’ve worked with has a written sales process that is understood but everyone at the firm — from the leadership team to summer interns. In a recent article, we shared the other 9 “best practices” that separate high-performing teams from everyone else. https://bit.ly/3QweiZo

🌟 Maximizing My Internship Experience at Ross🌟 I’m thrilled to share how my internship at Ross is helping me develop valuable skills on the sales floor. One of my key responsibilities involves gathering clothes from the fitting rooms and returning them to their rightful places on the sales floor, as well as managing returned items from the registers. This task is more than just a routine; it’s a crucial part of enhancing my understanding of the store layout and inventory management. By organizing and restocking items, I'm becoming more familiar with where everything is located, which greatly improves my ability to assist customers effectively. Through this experience, I’m honing my skills in: •Store Layout Mastery:Getting to know where different products are situated helps me quickly direct customers to what they need. •Customer Service:Being on top of returned items and ensuring the sales floor is well-organized allows me to provide a better shopping experience. •Efficiency and Attention to Detail: Ensuring items are returned to their proper places helps maintain a neat and accessible store environment. I’m excited about the growth I’m experiencing and look forward to continuing to contribute to a great customer experience at Ross! #RetailExperience #InternshipJourney #CustomerService #ProfessionalDevelopment
