Yesterday, techUK held our 'Unlocking talent in tech scale-ups' event. We heard from Rebecca Simmons, Chief Operating Officer at Riverlane. Key insights included: 💡 Strong leadership is critical in scaling firms as it provides strategic direction, drives company culture, and inspires teams to perform at their best, ensuring smooth growth and adaptation to new challenges. 💡 Fostering career growth is vital. Sweden needs more people in Tech! WirelessCar is a global tech company with growth ambitions, and to meet our goals we need to attract the right competence over the coming years, says Anna Gunlycke, Head of People Talent Strategy. So, we want to make sure that more young talent chooses a career in tech, something that is also important for Sweden as a country. Earlier today Anna Gunlycke joined TechSverige's Åsa Zetterberg and Ana Andric who gave an overview of the tech industry's importance for the economy and society. Also in the discussion was Anna Gulliksen, Global head of Talent Acquisition and Employer Brand at Tietoevry, and Microsoft Sweden's vice president Thomas Floberg. Tech Sverige's new report reveals that by 2028, Sweden will need about 18,000 skilled tech workers annually, especially in AI and security. Skilled tech workers are vital for all businesses to compete globally and grow. Here are some of our key initiatives for WirelessCar to be workplace of choice for tech talent: 💡 Continuous learning is the key to success. We see rapid technological advancements so investing in our employees' training is crucial. 💡 We invest in young talent through our trainee program with our partner New Minds. About 20 newly graduated engineers annually join in our backend and cybersecurity development. 💡 We also offer flexibility in work with the option for remote work and a hybrid model for a healthy work-life balance. #wearewirelesscar
