"We’ve come a long way from second opinions. Grand Rounds gradually expanded our #HealthcareNavigation services and merged with a virtual urgent and #Mentalhealth care provider, Doctor on Demand, to create the company we now call #IncludedHealth. Along the way we’ve added #VirtualPrimaryCare, programs for chronic and complex conditions, and specialized clinical support for the LGBTQ+ and Black communities. We now employ about 1,000 clinicians and provide care to millions of people across the U.S." - Owen Tripp, CEO for Fast Company. https://lnkd.in/e_44JwCi #VirtualCare #Telehealth #SpecialtyCare #FCImpactCouncil

Before all the logos flip to bright, rainbow colors for Pride month in June - let’s talk about how to actually impact the LGBTQ+ community all year, every year, rather than just rainbow washing in June for optics. How to support LGBTQ+: ✨ Ask everyone their pronouns. Add yours to your social platforms and team pages to show that you are an ally in not assuming pronouns. ✨ Support LGBTQ+ run businesses that create safe spaces for queers and all year-round. ✨ Invest in LGBTQ+ startups - before you can support a business, you need to support the founders in their nascent state. Much work is being done in this space, but that shouldn’t stop you from putting your money where your mouth is in supporting queer founders. Some great organizations that deserve a shout out for leading the way: 🏳️🌈 Gaingels 🏳️🌈 Backstage Capital 🏳️🌈 Pride Fund 1 🏳️🌈 Chasing Rainbows ✨Vote queer and queer-supporting politicians into office where available, and vote for those leveraging their platforms to support LGBTQ+ rights to affirming healthcare, equality, and efforts to increase diversity. Lastly, tell the queer people in your life that you love them - and ask them how you can support their community. Advocate, volunteer, donate, do whatever you can to support *real* action, not just a rainbow version of your logo. Cheers, and a happy upcoming Pride to all who support LGBTQ+ humans. Signed, a 50%-owned queer startup studio helping fellow queer founders find their footing in a space in need of diversity. 🗣 Overlooked founders (BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, etc.) combined get less than 10% of venture capital funding. I'm raising a $5 million fund at Kabila to invest in founders in our ecosystem with co-founder teams of more than one gender, race, or ethnicity. Why? Because those teams give investors a 30% greater return than the status quo. If you're a founder and this mission resonates with you, and you want to be part of a global community of badass founders, join us 👇🏾 https://lnkd.in/gT2iEM-b And if you're looking for a co-founder, try our co-founder matching app that is designed to eliminate unconscious bias 👇🏾 https://lnkd.in/gN26pcEa Let's grow! https://lnkd.in/eTT9Jx7M
