Everything must come to an end… Even our three-week (😱) trip to the USA. And while we’re just a little upset, we're even more excited about the trips to come. In the meantime, we are ready to share a quick sum up of the trip. In the USA, we: ▪️visited more than 4 cities: Boston, Seattle, Huston, Miami, and also West Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Doral, and Hollywood. ▪️went to networking events, IT conferences, American universities, museums, and other cultural places; ▪️met with our long-standing partners and planned our future cooperation and milestones ▪️met with our customers and worked out in detail the next stages of our work; Yes, there were a lot of meetings, but we weren't complaining. After all, that is why we came to the USA in the first place: to finally meet everyone, not through the screen. The #incorateam came back inspired and ready to get working on the old and new projects. Stay tuned for updates and upcoming trips! #usa #softwaredevelopment #businesstrip #incora

My recent 6-week journey through Europe was an eye-opening experience that provided me with valuable insights into the continent's rich and tumultuous history. Traveling across multiple countries, I was struck by how Europe's interconnected landmass has led to centuries of conflicts, conquests, and the rise and fall of various empires. This historical backdrop starkly contrasts with Japan, where internal conflicts were frequent, but the scale of European historical events is immense. Visiting countries like the UK, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Greece, I was fascinated by how each once enjoyed a golden age, leading the world in different eras, only to eventually lose their dominance. This decline often stemmed from their inability to adapt to new technologies and changing times. It made me ponder Japan's relatively recent golden age and our current trajectory of decline. Will we follow a similar path, or can we learn from history and remain resilient? Despite the fall from their zenith, these countries still possess rich cultural heritage in arts, cuisine, and music. Their histories resemble business cycles, with nations experiencing periods of growth, peak, and decline. My travels reinforced the importance of robust infrastructure, which I found to be a critical factor in deciding where to live. Japan's well-developed infrastructure makes it a comfortable place to reside, although my professional aspirations are geared towards working internationally, potentially from multiple bases, while maintaining a connection with Japan. Engaging with startup workers from Belarus and Ukraine was particularly inspiring. These individuals are driven not merely by a desire for societal contribution or future prospects but by a pressing need to change their current circumstances. Their determination and proactive approach, despite the hardships they face, starkly contrasted with my own concerns, making me realize how privileged my position is. From an artistic perspective, Europe’s advanced cultural scene, especially in fine arts, left a profound impact on me. Two key lessons stood out: Gaudí's long-term vision and collaborative approach in creating the Sagrada Família, and Picasso's prolific output, which underscored the importance of persistence and frequent attempts in achieving success. Gaudí's ability to inspire and gather support for a project that he knew he wouldn't complete in his lifetime was particularly moving. Meanwhile, Picasso’s extensive body of work exemplified the power of continuous effort and perseverance. These reflections from my European journey have broadened my perspective on global history, culture, and the importance of infrastructure. This trip has been a profound reminder of how much there is to learn and experience in the world.

🌍 Reflecting on a New Chapter in Tallinn: A Week of Growth and Connections This past week marked my arrival in Tallinn—a city starkly different from my experiences in Portugal. Amidst the icy chill and new surroundings, I find myself reflecting on the power of community and the importance of establishing a strong personal network. In Portugal, the friendships I forged became my anchor, providing a sense of security that was absent when I first embarked on my journey abroad. Here in Tallinn, despite the cold that confines, I pushed myself to step out of my comfort zone early on. Just four days in, I attended my first dance class, a small but significant step towards building new relationships and reinforcing my commitment to personal and professional growth. Navigating this new environment, I am reminded of the critical role that interpersonal connections play in our lives, particularly when adapting to change. Whether it's through professional networks or personal friendships, the support we cultivate is crucial. As I settle into this vibrant city, I look forward to exploring how these early experiences will shape my understanding of community and leadership. I am eager to dive deeper into how authentic relationships can influence not only personal resilience but also professional success. To my connections: How have your relationships impacted your professional journey? Have you ever found profound professional insights in unexpected places? Let’s connect and share our stories of growth and resilience. #Leadership #CommunityBuilding #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking #NewBeginnings — Yours Silja

HOW INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE ELEVATED MY CONFIDENCE As I reflect on my whirlwind of international experiences—living in the enchanting streets of Paris for almost 2.5 years, embarking on an exchange program in the vibrant city of Berlin, and enjoying a leisurely vacation in the picturesque Amsterdam—I can't help but marvel at the transformative impact on my confidence. 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇳🇱 Paris, the city of love, became not just my home but a playground for personal growth. Navigating the Seine River became second nature, and I could tell you the best boulangeries in each arrondissement. Fun fact: My French vocabulary expanded from ordering croissants to discussing existential philosophy over espressos in Montmartre (or at least I tried!). Berlin was a whole new world. My attempt at mastering the "floss" dance turned into a cultural exchange of epic proportions. Fun fact: my awkward moves led to new friends and a dance move named after yours truly. Move over, TikTok! Then came Amsterdam, where I discovered my hidden talent—bike balancing. Dodging bicycles became my unofficial sport, and I swear, I could give any Tour de France cyclist a run for their money. Who knew dodging bikes could be a confidence booster? In the midst of all the chaos and laughter, my confidence skyrocketed. From invisible boxes in Paris to dance diplomacy in Berlin and bike dodging in Amsterdam, every goof-up turned into a victory lap. International exposure wasn't just about adapting to new cultures; it was about finding joy in the unexpected and becoming a pro at turning challenges into triumphs. So, here's to the cities that became my playgrounds, the mishaps that became my anecdotes, and the global adventures that sculpted a more confident, bike-dodging, dance-mastering version of myself! 🌍🕺🏼💃🏼 #GlobalConfidenceNinja #InternationalAdventures #ParisToBerlinToAmsterdam #InternationalConfidence #GlobalExplorer #TransformativeJourney #storytelling #Marketer #challenges #Studyabroad #ProfessionalGrowth #LeadershipJourney #GlobalPerspective

Embracing a year in Germany As an international student navigating the cultural tapestry of Germany, I've encountered challenges with language and culture. Yet, the resilience of skilled individuals prevails. Managing life here is no easy feat, but within the difficulties lie fascinating opportunities. Germany, is diverse and inclusive, in most aspects. It's a place where every individual, regardless of background, can find their niche and calling. In the face of hurdles, I've discovered that this country provides a canvas for talent to flourish. To my fellow expats: persevere, explore, and seize the unique opportunities that it offers. Your journey might be challenging, but within the mosaic of cultures, you'll find a place that resonates with your skills and aspirations. 🚀 #LifeInGermany #InternationalJourney #Germany

From expat to immigrant entrepreneur in Germany. I talk about my learnings and thoughts. Currently building Simple Germany
Which city is the best to live in Germany? I always answer: Düsseldorf. I’m biased, I know. Here are 5 reasons why I love living in one of Germany’s best-kept secrets: 🪴 Not too big - not too small: Unlike other cities (cough Berlin), you don’t need to commute hours to go from A to B. It has a ‘Dorf’ (village) feeling to it sometimes. 🙂 Friendly people: Legend says the friendliest Germans can be found in NRW, especially in Cologne & Düsseldorf. I can confirm that I’ve had tons of very pleasant experiences here. 📍Location: It is a stone-throw away from discovering other countries - Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Belgium. 🛫 Airport: The international airport is only 20 minutes away from the city center! 🍣 Japanese food & culture: With the second largest Japanese community in Europe, you can always find amazing events and food in the city. 🎡 Rhine Culture (bonus): with the Kirmes, Schützenfest, and Carnival - there are lots of opportunities to get to know Germans and their traditions. I ended up here by serendipity. I don’t think there is a “best city to live in Germany”. You land where the opportunities take you and learn to make the best out of it.

In the tapestry of my life, each thread represents a relationship, some stretching across continents and time. Growing up, I was a global nomad, moving from one country to another almost every year. This nomadic lifestyle made forming and maintaining friendships particularly challenging, a reality that hit hardest during my teenage years. I graduated from an international German school in the US, where everyone soon dispersed, moving to different places. This pattern continued, leading to lost connections and a sense of disconnection from my past. But recently, there’s been a shift. I reconnected with old friends - from a basketball teammate in Germany (Ulf) and in the US (Ryan) to a clubbing buddy in the US (Sylvia). These reconnections are not just about reminiscing; they are re-establishing bonds that time and distance had strained. This journey has been a profound learning experience. It reminded me of the importance of nurturing relationships, no matter the physical distance. Our bonds with people are the most valuable assets we have. In the hustle of our professional lives, it’s easy to neglect these relationships. My recent experiences serve as a reminder to treasure and invest in these connections, one conversation at a time. They are the bridges to our past and the architects of our enriched future. #Networking #RelationshipBuilding #PersonalGrowth 🌍🤝🌟

During my gap year, I travelled to 10+ European cities. ✈ Here’s how it changed my life (especially No6): 1) 🤲 Appreciate cultural changes and barriers, such as the history of Bratislava. 2) 👩🏻🤝🧑 Developed social skills(especially small talk) through talking to like-minded solo travellers. 3) ⚡ Learnt about the best way of managing my energy levels as travelling to 10+ countries in 2 weeks whilst trying to make the most out of it was exhausting. 4) 🌍 Helped me relate more to people as most people aren’t from the UK. Most solo travellers came from other countries outside Europe. 5) 💸 Grew my knowledge on managing finances as I had a budget to stick to. 6) 🚨 Understood how to deal with “pseudo-emergencies” (such as being allergic to everything and ensuring I didn’t die despite the communication barriers). 7) ✍ Started my writing journey online through reflections during the trip which allowed me to develop my own thinking and ideas. Travelling holds a whole host of benefits and generates life long memories. I highly recommend it to all young people as it developed the essential life skills I still use at university, life and networking! What else would you add?
