Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) process, an innovative technology that can turn natural gas into high-quality liquid fuels and other valuable products. The GTL process involves the conversion of natural gas into synthetic crude oil, or syncrude, using a complex chemical reaction known as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. This process involves the removal of impurities and the creation of a range of products that can be used in a variety of industries, including transportation, power generation, and chemicals. What makes the GTL process so exciting is its ability to produce clean, high-quality fuels that meet rigorous environmental standards. GTL fuels burn more cleanly than traditional gasoline or diesel, producing fewer emissions and improving air quality in urban areas. The resulting syncrude can be further processed into a range of high-quality, clean-burning fuels, including diesel, jet fuel, and gasoline. These fuels have a number of advantages over traditional petroleum-based fuels, including: 1. Lower emissions: GTL fuels produce lower levels of pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, and sulfur oxides, which can significantly improve air quality and reduce the environmental impact of transportation. 2. Higher energy density: GTL fuels have a higher energy density than traditional petroleum-based fuels, which means they can provide more energy per unit volume or weight. This can lead to increased fuel efficiency and reduced consumption. 3. Lower carbon footprint: GTL fuels have a lower carbon footprint than traditional petroleum-based fuels, which means they produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions over their lifecycle. In addition to these benefits, the GTL process can also help address the issue of stranded natural gas resources, which are often difficult to access and transport. By converting these resources into a valuable product, the GTL process can help unlock new sources of energy and create new opportunities for economic development. Overall, the GTL process is a promising technology that has the potential to transform the energy industry and help us move towards a more sustainable future. We have recently carried out the purging and degassing of an ammonia tank for a new customer in the southern part of Germany. For this project, we applied one of our mobile vapor combustion units with a capacity of 5 MW. Additionally, we used one of our mobile vaporizers with nitrogen tank. By combining mobile incinerators with our mobile nitrogen vaporizers, we can also degas components that contain liquified gases under pressure. Substances such as ammonia, LNG or hydrogen that are highly flammable and have a high risk of explosion. Applying nitrogen as an inert gas that doesn’t react with other substances, we purged the ammonia safely out of the tank and could then continue with the degassing. Cummins and FPT Industrial have translated the word agnostic to mean multifuel. To stay in the philosophical vocabulary, a holistic view expressed in a power unit that digests both fossil fuels (Diesel and CNG), their green versions (HVO and biomethane) and hydrogen. #powertrain #diesel #fpt #fuel #agnostic #cng #green #biomethane #hydrogen

ABS Releases Industry First Advisory on Methanol Bunkering With the publication of ABS Methanol Bunkering: Technical and Operational Advisory, ABS is expanding its industry-leading suite of guidance on methanol as a marine fuel. A key component of the methanol value chain and the overall scalability of the fuel will be the ability to bunker methanol, either by truck-to-ship, ship-to-ship or land storage tank/terminal-to-ship. The new advisory provides the maritime industry with insight into the challenges of bunkering methanol and strategies to address them. “As the class provider for the world’s largest methanol-fueled vessel and with numerous methanol-based projects underway, ABS has unrivalled insight into the adoption of methanol as a marine fuel. Numbers of methanol fueled vessels are growing rapidly and ABS is focused on supporting its safe adoption by the industry, which is why we are proud to offer this publication to support owners, operators and yards with bunkering challenges related to operations, design and training,” said John McDonald, ABS President and COO. "As the global fleet of methanol-fueled vessels continues to expand, more and more ports will be offering methanol bunker solutions. The Methanol Institute appreciated the opportunity to work with the ABS team as a contributor to this outstanding Methanol Bunkering advisory, providing important guidance for the safe handling of methanol,” said MI CEO Greg Dolan. The publication provides guidance regarding the technical and operational challenges of the supplier to the receiving vessel including critical design issues, regulatory compliance, safe practices, areas of operational processes to consider, training and safety aspects. E-fuels could be a factor in tomorrow's mobility mix. But what are e-fuels? E-fuels are synthetic fuels made from water and carbon dioxide using electricity (hence the E). Hydrogen is extracted from the water, which is then combined with CO2 in the chemistry lab to form long-chain hydrocarbons. In other words: to e-gasoline or e-diesel. In order to be able to use these without problems in conventional vehicles, additives must be added, such as ERC Dynamic XtL. It cleans the engine and the injectors, which improves performance and running characteristics. It reduces corrosion and wear and turns an e-diesel into a real premium e-diesel! #efuels #fuels #synthetic #hydrogen #water #carbon #gasoline #ediesel #erc #additiv #dynamicxtl
