I had the privilege of participating in a Focus Group for Asia regarding the new standards for B Corp Certification. B Lab is currently updating the certification standards based on feedback from several stakeholders, including B Corps, experts, and the general public. The latest draft of the standards is now open for public consultation until March 26, 2024, and you can review and provide feedback on their website. The updated standards aim to reflect the current and future challenges and opportunities for businesses to create positive impacts. These include addressing issues like climate change, diversity and inclusion, human rights, and digital transformation. #bcorp #bcorpmonth

🌍 Last month, I had the privilege to attend the World Conference on Statelessness #WCS2024 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With more than 500 participants from 50 countries joining in, both in Malaysia and online, the conference brought together passionate advocates, policymakers, academics, and activists from around the globe to discuss one of the most pressing issues of our time: #statelessness. Under the theme #SOLIDARITY #KNOWLEDGE #CHANGE, the event provided a platform for potent conversations, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative solutions. 🌟The standout moments have been encapsulated in this powerful video, capturing the essence of the conference and the urgent need for action: this video is not just a visual representation of the struggles faced by #stateless individuals but also a call to action for governments, organizations, and individuals alike to work towards a world where everyone has access to their basic human rights, regardless of their nationality. As we head back and continue our reflections from the key learnings & side confers, I am eager about the opportunity to re-engage with the new connections and reconnect with peers who share a passion for child rights and protection at the event. The conference highlighted the interconnectedness of various human rights issues, and the protection of children's rights is paramount within this framework. Discussions highlighted the unique challenges faced by these vulnerable populations, including the risk of statelessness, lack of access to education and healthcare, and heightened exposure to exploitation and trafficking. Addressing these challenges requires a multifaceted approach that prioritizes the protection and well-being of #childrenaffectedbymigration #childrenonthemove #UASC #CCM (ASEAN).
