Everyday is #worlddiabetesday for those who live with diabetes, for those who have a loved one suffering from diabetes, for those who care about someone with diabetes and for those who #neversettle pushing the boundaries of science to find solutions to improve the lives of those living with all types of #diabetes. Many organizations worldwide have robust innitiatives and huge programs but it is on us, at our own personal, family and community level, that ACTION really begins: in most cases diabetes is a disease that is highly connected to behavior and lifestyle - so even if all we can do is take little steps at this point, 1% is vetter than 0%, and it is in fact through small changes that big changed become possible. So I challenge you to take a couple of minutes from your busy, crazy life, and consider how every small decision you make everyday without even noticing will have cumulative effect and impact your quality of life in 5, 10, 20 years: 🎯are you sleeping enough? 🎯what are you eating and how are you eating? 🎯are you moving? 🎯do you take small breaks to breathe and re-focus? 🎯how are your stress levels? 🎯are you taking care of your relationships? If you can improve, even by a little, these components, (and we are not even thinking about what medicine can add to this equation), you will be starting a positive change cycle that will not only be capitalizing on your own health and well being further down the road, but you will also generate good examples to those around you, like your spouse, your kids or your friends.
