The open-field spiral kick can be beneficially used to hit effective kicks in Rugby League and Rugby Union. The open-field spiral kick can produce momentum-changing kicks like 20/40, 40/20 (shown below), and 50/22. This kick can also bounce into the open field, flipping the field. Depending on angles, kicking position, and posture, these kicks can produce sharp right-angle turns or left-angle turns.

𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭? Softball cricket, also known as Softball cricket or Soft ball cricket, is a version of cricket played primarily by women and girls in England and Wales. It features a shorter and more relaxed variant of the sport compared to women's hardball cricket. The game lasts around an hour, with teams of six to eight players divided into pairs. Scoring is based on runs and boundaries made, as well as for wides and no-balls. Players are “out” when the ball is bowled, caught, run out, stumped, or hits the wicket, and the winning team is the one with the most points at the end. Senior Lecturer @ Birmingham Newman | Primary Physical Education Expert | Creator of the SHARP PE Principles | Children’s physical activity and Cystic Fibrosis
The education act 2002 prohibits the Secretary of State from stipulating any amount of time to be given to any subject. However, there are several recent government documents that recommend 2 hours of PE each week. For instance, the childhood and obesity action plan and the physical activity and sport action plan. Lots of schools do offer two hours of curriculum time PE, but timetabled time and the amount of time in physical education are two different things. Our research shows that out of an hour timetabled lesson, children only spend an average of 35 minutes in the working area (Powell et al., 2018), Ofsted cited this research in their recent research review for PE. More worryingly, out of this 35 mins in the working area, research repeatedly evidences that on average children are only engaged in 40% active learning time (Fairclough and Stratton, 2006, Hollis et al., 2016, Powell et al., 2018). So out of two hours curriculum time PE lessons, research indicates that children are only engaged in active learning for 28 mins, the rest of the time children spend getting changed, waiting in queues for their turn, listening to teachers talk. Let’s focus on HQ PE in those two hours not just two hours on the timetable!
Governing bodies of cricket, football, tennis, rugby union and rugby league say schools should be required to provide pupils with at least two hours of sport and activity a week. What do you think? Let us know in the comments 👇 https://lnkd.in/dAywKcHC #Sport #PE #GeneralElection

SHINE THE LIGHT 🔦 Respect The Ref Check out an awesome feature piece put together by our Digital Marketing Executive Max Sharp. We wanted to shine the light on our North Harbour Rugby Referees Association (NHRRA) referees and start to change the negative narrative towards referees. Just like players, they: - Attend trainings to develop their skills - Review footage and their own performance to be better - Keep fit to ensure they can perform at a level - Have to hit certain fitness KPI's if they wish to progress through the ranks - Are assessed, coached, and developed by educators within the NHRRA community Finally, they are human beings, just like players. Let's think twice before we hurl negative abuse towards an official. Respect the ref.
Our North Harbour Rugby Referees put an incredible level of dedication into their match-day prep every week. Here we have Caleb Greaves, one of our Referees, explaining the work our Referees put into their performances every week. Respect the Ref. Absolutely.

club friendlies: Chelsea vs Real Madrid Chelsea High build up structure key points: - 3+2 in high build up with a rest defense of 3 in short distances with pair of double pivots. -Wingers (Sterling and Madueke) providing width and depth in out-wide areas as Enzo Fernadez is in the role of a left 8 (attacking midfielder) and central forward nkunku rotating in right half space and Marc Guiu Remains a lone central forward. - The 3-2-4-1 has 4 heights with each player in different zone providing different options to approach into attacking phase and delivering support ( Enzo Fernandez supporting left winger Sterling at left channel and nkunku supporting right winger Madueke at right channel) which allows a more fluid positional play in those zones as they would be in either 2v1 or 2v2 duels against the opposition defenders in out-wide areas. #chel #chelsea #maresca #positionalplay #REALMADRID #CHE #RMA #LALIGA #PREMIERLEAGUE #FCSERIES #FUTBOL #FUTEBOL #fUSSBALL #FUTBOLTACTICA #TACTICAFUTBOLERA #FOOTBALLTACTICS

Did the much-expected showdown of RWC live up to its expectations? The record books, as well as history, will record South Africa as the 2023 Rugby WC Champions. As an ardent rugby fan and following *ABs* closely, I feel sad that they lost despite playing 48 minutes of the game with 14 players in a cup final and still lost by only a single point. Even though *SA* got two yellow cards while *ABs* got one, in addition to the red, of course, the grit and determination of *ABs* should be applauded. We observed early nervous moments from both sides and none were able to get to their own rhythm because the stage and stakes were much bigger than any player, which resulted in unsettled moments with many unforced errors from both sides. My thoughts were that at any given moment, a referee or TMO cannot be bigger than the game by killing the intensity and balance of the game which is sad for the future of the game. A red card to *AB* captain Sam Cane doomed the natural flair of a cup final. As we know in rugby, each position is balanced to keep the momentum of the game... We know that to play Rugby at the highest level, you need toughness with a lion's heart and moreover should have the courage to put your body on the line..... Referees with chicken hearts and treating the game like it's *netball* is sure to kill the intensity and glamour of the game in the future because however good and skillful a team could be, one single *donkey* or *two* could spoil the show with their whistle... They should know that millions of fans around the globe want to witness not the *referee* blowing his whistle but a good game of Rugby. We have experienced in our day-to-day lives such aimless donkeys killing the spark of a project and the enthusiasm of a team by addressing themselves as the boss. *Point to Ponder* If every deadly bouncer directed by a fast bowler gets a red card in a game of cricket we are sure not to find any fast bowler, and certainly, the glamour factor of cricket will have an instant death. Further, the UFC Octagon ring competition will have to be banned. Sharwar Yoonoos
