We celebrated a big work anniversary for Angie Hockett today—25 years at Iowa State Bank! If you have never interacted with her in person, you have most likely done it over the phone. Angie serves as receptionist at our East Village location and is one of the first friendly faces you see upon entering our doors. We appreciate all you do for our team, Angie! We’re so happy to have you as part of the ISB family! 💛🖤

CEO & Founder Silver Talkies | Co-Author of Rethink Ageing (Penguin India) | Winner of Visa Inc's She's Next grant | Goldman Sachs 10K program NSRCEL IIM Bangalore
Some dates are always special such as today, the date when we launched Silver Talkies Club six years ago in 2018, based on the inputs from attendees of our events. They wanted to meet more often, know their co-participants better and have more fun and engaging opportunities. Hence Silver Talkies Club was born in a time and age when active ageing, loneliness and isolation among older adults were not spoken about or discussed much in our country. I was in fact told by many peers that I was playing in a small niche field. Fast forward to 2024, almost every new player in the senior care space is looking at addressing similar issues with similar models. Did we start too early or did they start too late? I think it is immaterial for as they say that all's well that ends well. What is most heartening for me is to note that in the pic below all the people who became members in 2018 are still members in 2024, with the exception of one member whom we lost a few months ago. Six years of relationship still doing strong! So we must be doing something right:) Cheers to healthy ageing! #olderadults #activeageing #seniorcare #healthyageing #anniversary
Six incredible years have flown by, and today we're celebrating a remarkable milestone - Happy 6th Anniversary to the Silver Talkies Family! A heartfelt shoutout to each and every one of our amazing members who've been with us since day one, your support and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our journey. While we celebrate our triumphs, we also remember our dear friend and pioneer member, Arun Bhatia, whose spirit continues to inspire us every day. And a special mention to Akila Krishnakumar, our beacon of wisdom and guidance, thank you for being our mentor and advisor throughout this incredible journey. Here's to many more years of laughter, learning, and cherished memories together!

Driving Brand Reputation and Stakeholder Engagement Communications | Reputation Management | Brand Strategy | Marketing & Research
Today marks my 13th Anniversary as a member of The Brydens Group. I feel privileged to have had the chance to collaborate with influential individuals who have enabled me to forge a fulfilling path while contributing value to the organization. Reflecting on my journey, if you had asked me at the outset if I envisioned myself in my current role, I would likely have answered affirmatively. I have always been driven and recognized the unique skillset I possess and how it can effectively be utilized. My philosophy includes volunteering my talents where I believe they can make a difference, regardless of personal gain. This approach has not only opened doors to unforeseen opportunities but also allowed me to display abilities beyond my designated responsibilities. At Brydens, I have transitioned from Brand Manager to Business Development Manager and now Group Corporate Affairs Manager—a career trajectory that aligns perfectly with my aspirations. Each role has been a learning experience, allowing me to refine my skills and maintain a perpetual sense of excitement. Ultimately, it boils down to comprehending your value. In essence, if you view yourself as a brand, what principles do you stand for? My journey highlights the significance of hard work, belief, and being a bit of a dreamer. Defining your identity and ensuring that you consistently deliver on it is paramount. As I celebrate 13 years with Brydens with great enthusiasm, I hope, in your journey, you too have a narrative of growth and self-discovery, where you have carved out opportunities by recognizing your inherent value. As we continue to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and the milestones we have achieved, our focus naturally turns to the future. We are filled with excitement as we consider the strengths and opportunities that lie ahead of our staff. Our greatest assets are our employees - a group of talented individuals who have contributed to our success and will continue to play a crucial role in shaping our future. We connected with Keegan Bunt about how he feels about the future of the firm. *What do you see in the future for your professional growth here? "Endless knowledge. With how the firm is structured I can work on a new type of project almost daily, with that I am constantly learning new things." *What has been the most valuable lesson you have learned so far? "Work doesn’t have to be something you endure or dread. With the right environment and people it can be the highlight of your day."

It's been an incredible year at Energy CX. Here are some key takeaways: 1. Contributing to something larger than yourself is both powerful and motivating. 2. Innovation is not just a buzzword, it’s a daily habit. 3. Personalization is the most powerful tool. 4. Simplicity is often the best strategy. 5. There is no support group that covers your brother being your boss. Looking forward to the year ahead.
