STRICKLAND METALS LIMITED (ASX:STK) announces the strongest gold mineralisation ever encountered at the 5.4Moz Au Eq Rogozna project. The first hole drilled by Strickland at Shanac has returned a spectacular intercept of: 89.7m @ 4.0g/t AU from 244.5m, including 24.1m @ 10.5g/t Au from 296.2m. This is the first time this high-grade, gold only zone has been intersected in drilling at Shanac, highlighting the potential to substantially enhance the existing 4.6Moz Au Eq Shanac resource. Multiple additional zones of strong mineralisation encountered in this hole, amounting to a total intersection of: 293.9m @ 2.5g/t Au Eq2 from 162.3m. #STK #GOLD

Viking Mines has completed an updated JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) report for the Canegrass Battery Minerals Project in Western Australia. The MRE has proven highly successful, with a 103% increase in the contained V2O5 to 2.2 Billion Pounds within the total MRE (>0.5% V2O5) of 146Mt at 0.70% V2O5, 31.8% Fe & 6.6% TiO2. Significantly, a high-grade subset of the MRE contains 27.5Mt at 0.87% V2O5, providing the basis to move forward and commence with a Scoping Study on the Project. The opportunity to produce a direct ship Iron Ore concentrate from the Project with credits for #Vanadium content to be investigated by the Company. Abitibi Metals Corp (CSE:AMQ, OTC:AMQFF) announced that it has received the results from the first four holes of its maiden drill program at the B26 polymetallic deposit in Quebec which it believes supports the deposit’s bulk tonnage potential. The company said it has received the non-rush portions of drill holes 1274-24-293 and 294. Number 293 intersected 1.1% #copper equivalent over 9.5 meters beginning at 63 meters depth and 2.6% copper equivalent over 37 meters beginning at 106 meters depth, including 6.3% copper equivalent over 10.6 meters. Meanwhile, number 294 intersected 1.5% copper equivalent over 11.9 meters beginning at 70.4 metres depth and 2.5% copper equivalent over 61.3 meters beginning at 128.6 meters depth, including 11.4% copper equivalent over 10.6 meters. Black Canyon Limited recently announced the significant Maiden Mineral Resource Estimates for the KR1 and KR2 deposits up in the Balfour Manganese Field. The combined MRE total 103Mt at 10.4% manganese, for a contained amount of #manganese of 10.7 Mt. The global mineral resource now totals 275 Mt at 10.3% manganese, or 28.4 Mt of contained manganese. Some general estimates for the amount of copper used in big wind turbine blades: Average per MW: A standard 3-megawatt (MW) wind turbine can contain up to 4.7 tons of copper, with roughly 53% used for cables and wiring, 24% for turbine and power generation components, 4% from transformers, and another 19% from turbine transformers. Offshore comparison: For offshore wind turbines, the copper requirement can be significantly higher, reaching around 8 tons per MW. An average 3.6MW offshore turbine can hold about 29 tons of copper. We've received outstanding results from the initial metallurgical testing at the BD Target 1 prospect at our Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa with gold recoveries up to 99%. Bottle roll tests on 50 samples confirmed that the gold mineralisation is free milling, with cyanide leach recoveries consistently above 93% for samples grading 0.25 g/t gold or higher. Oxide samples exhibit exceptional gold recoveries, averaging 97.5% and reaching a maximum of 99%. The results align with typical free-milling ores, and further testing is planned to optimise processing flowsheets. We are well-funded following a recent A$17 million share placement and are rapidly expanding our drilling program, targeting the delivery of an initial JORC resource by the end of 2024. Managing Director Dr. Caigen Wang said: “Preliminary gold recoveries meet our expectations and confirm gold at BDT1 is highly amenable to standard cyanide leaching. While further work is needed, these are very encouraging results. We are well funded following a recent Share Placement and Share Purchase Plan and rapidly expanding our drilling program at Boundiali. #Copper was a huge talking point in 2023, but it had been coming for a while given its importance to our future. We've already seen this week that the BHP want to takeover Anglo American and control as much as 10% of the global copper production. If this doesn't tell you all you need to know about #BHP's prioritisation of #Cu then I don't know what does. The complexity of the deal with #AngloAmerican's structure, specifically in South Africa, as well as what the Chinese will say to this takeover, given their interests in the base metal and potential resistantance to one company controlling so much of the #copper industry, still leaves this story with many twists and turns before coming to a conclusion.
