KWS sells corn business in South America to GDM: KWS and plant genetics company GDM have signed a binding agreement on the transaction of KWS’ corn business activities in South America. With this step, we as KWS follow our strategic targets related to crop diversity and independence and will further strengthen our focus on supporting the future needs of farming and our sustainability ambition. “In South America, we established a strong position in the corn market – something we are very proud of, and which is the joint success of a great, dedicated team”, says Nicolás Wielandt, Executive Board member responsible for the corn business. “However, to implement KWS’ group-wide strategic targets with full strength and focus, we have decided this moment of business maturity is right to find a partner who is in a strong position to take the South American corn business up to the next level. We are convinced that both companies will benefit from this step as part of their long-term strategy.” Find out more information on the topic at: https://lnkd.in/dYwRkQGa #seedingthefuture #futureoffood
