#FOTON and #Iveco Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore cooperation in the field of electric vehicles and components. The collaboration aims to jointly expand into the European and South American markets, focusing on the commercialization of an electric panel van for #Europe and South America, in the lightest category of up to GVW 3.5 tons through Iveco's sales channels. IVECO is focused on promoting the electrification of light commercial vehicles and increasing the range of electric range with a GVW of up to 3.5 tons. FOTON has a strong focus on global expansion and new energy strategies, having exported 926k vehicles cumulatively, ranking first in China's commercial vehicle export for 13 consecutive years, with products sold in 130 countries. The collaboration also opens the door for potential further localized activities in Europe and South America and supply opportunities between Iveco Group and Foton, including through Iveco Group's powertrain brand FPT Industrial. FOTON has independently developed and mastered core EV technologies, including BEV, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell, covering the full range of commercial vehicle products. ZF and Farizon have announced an expansion of their strategic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at IAA Transportation 2024. Under the motto ‘Safe, Smart and Sustainable Journey to Farther Horizons’, this agreement aims to accelerate the industrialisation of ZF's advanced technologies for Farizon Auto's New Energy Vehicles. The collaboration builds on a strategic partnership signed in June to support Farizon, a manufacturer belonging to GEELY Holding Group, in the development of alternative energy commercial vehicles. Specifically, this involves the development of commercial vehicles equipped with methanol-hydrogen and #electricdrive systems. The intensified cooperation includes solutions for optimising energy consumption, for the safety of truck-trailer combinations and the increased use of intelligent systems, for example in ZF Group transmissions, e-mobility solutions, brakes, chassis, steering and ADAS technologies.
