Today we're celebrating the transformation of LEEP Dual Language Academy in Brooklyn, NY! This demo and renovation project has revitalized the school with modern classrooms, administrative space, a student cafeteria, and an updated computer lab/library. The installation of a new HVAC system and the construction of an ADA-compliant entry ramp stand out among the significant enhancements to this charter school.

Radically Transforming Lives through products and services for retirement planning and peace of mind!
So true! Student voice must be an integral part of all decision-making in education.
When we actively engage students on school boards, we tap into a wealth of unique insights, fresh perspectives, and innovative ideas that have the potential to transform the educational landscape. I'm inspired by these young people and the work of the National Student Board Member Association.

It's been just wonderful partnering with Tasmania's Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) on equity-based reform in #Literacy through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports. I can't think of more important or rewarding work to be doing than this, or a better team to be working with, to build bright futures for all young Tasmanians. #EvidenceBasedPractice #MTSS #Literacy Monash Education
We have been working on building the knowledge and understanding of our leaders in the best way to teach reading. We want our school leaders to have access to the best minds in education. Jodee Wilson, DECYP Deputy Secretary Development and Support, and I are thrilled to be working with Dr Kate de Bruin, AERO’s Carlie Davis and ACER’s Julie Murkins to explore the latest research and evidence in literacy instruction and school improvement. 2024 is an exciting year for all our schools as we continue our system-wide approach to teaching reading in ways that are evidence based and shown to work!

A sense of community and belonging is essential to any college students journey. Professors Roxanne Sorrick, Ed.D, and Jo Line, Ph.D. are exploring what community and belonging looks like in their new team-taught 12-week course "Is There An 'I' in Team?" Students in this course were tasked with exploring and redesigning club rooms on campus that have gone underutilized in previous years. Learn more about the courses concept and the on-going project below.

Thanks for the great discussion this morning on how higher ed institutions can improve reenrollment and degree attainment for those with some college but no credential. Explore the insights from our report: https://lnkd.in/gR3_g3qB
Had a great time this morning discussing the results of our research study on adult learners who left (and some who returned) to Shasta College and College of Continuing Education (CCE) at Sacramento State with Project Attain and California Competes. We were hosted by Dakota Pawlicki, Director of CivicLab. Always happy to talk with folks who are trying to make higher education more accessible and doable for adult learners!
