Dear HR Professionals, It's important to remember that you get what you pay for when it comes to hiring the right candidate for a role. If you ask a candidate for an interview and you think that they have the right skills and qualifications, but the company can't afford them, be honest right away instead of leaving them in the dark and telling them to wait for the next call. Experience and knowledge should be weighed accordingly. Let's make sure to be honest and transparent when communicating with potential hires. Thank you. #HR #Recruiting #Hiring #hrmanager

Let me get into #headhunting and the way some #HR employees handle the applicants they select! It's weird how you're asked to join a new company because of your experience, but you're also treated like any other candidate and have to take time off from your #work to prepare for tests or go through a tedious hiring process (that you didn't seek!) I believe HRs must avoid subjecting #headhunted candidates to usual lengthy hiring processes. They didn’t seek you out—you sought their expertise. If you doubt they're a good fit, then why did you insist that they drop everything and give you their whole attention? Streamlining the #recruiting process and offering a clear offer are essential. Even the interview aspect should be different; it should be more about discussing mutual fit and future collaboration rather than evaluating basic qualifications. That's a point many companies miss. When #hiring, be sure to use different methods for general candidates and those you personally #headhunt. Also, the hiring process for a junior is different from that of a senior, and an upper-level title is different from both, etc.

Is it really standard practice for HR/hiring personnel to just say " the company has decided not to continue with your application" and not give any feedback other than this? Is informing the candidate where he or she fell short not an act of empowerment and professionalism so that the candidate could do better next time? It is also an act of kindness I think, and we all know we reap what we sow. Also, why is there this disturbing trend of the hiring manager saying "I might not be able to give an immediate answer in the next few days about your application" and then the following day you get an email from the recruitment team saying they're not pursuing your application anymore. Once or twice might be coincidental, but more than 5 times points to the fact that the hiring manager does not have any say about the hiring process at all. #hiring #inconsistencies #

It's Not the Candidates Fault If Your Company Has a Bad Hiring Process - Taking Control of Your Career It's not up to the candidate especially the black and brown candidates to fix your hiring issues It's not our job to fix your hiring issues It's up to you to fix your hiring issues Because if you don't fix your hiring issues I honestly shouldn't trust you with my career I shouldn't trust you at all with my career. #HR #Human Resources #Hiring #DiversityandInclusion #DiversityHiring #TalentAcquisition

Candidates deserve timely and respectful communication about hiring outcomes - whether selected or not. I've been shocked by responses like "we don't have time to provide feedback to all candidates." Unacceptable. Both the company and candidate invest valuable time and resources. There must be mutual respect. Providing clear updates and constructive feedback, even for rejected candidates, demonstrates professionalism. It helps people improve for future opportunities, rather than leaving them feeling ignored and undervalued. #hiring #hrpractices #candidateexperience

Hiring managers, HR directors, and recruiters often get lost in the details when it comes to hiring. But as someone who's made the same mistake early in my career, I learned that the perfect candidate doesn't exist. Or better, perfect doesn't mean they meet 20+ criteria or qualifications. Instead, it all comes down to attitude and reliability - two traits that cannot be taught. Keep this in mind when searching for the right person for the job. #hiringtips #recruitment #humanresources
