The ADCC pipeline is online for Corpus Christi LNG Stage 3, which could complicate tracking daily U.S. LNG feed gas flows as my Natural Gas Intelligence colleague Jodi Shafto covers here. 🇨🇦 🚨 Ksi Lisims LNG: Pipeline construction to start in August. The Nisga’a Nation in northern British Columbia has agreed to allow the start of construction of a major pipeline on its territory in August. PRGT would transport natural gas about 775 kilometres from northeast B.C. to the planned Ksi Lisims LNG terminal on the West Coast for exporting liquefied natural gas. The Nisga’a, Houston-based Western LNG LLC and a group of natural gas producers called Rockies LNG Partners are partners in Ksi Lisims, which is seeking to begin shipping to Asia by 2029. Alaska LNG... securing the natural gas transportation to the facility first with a 42" pipeline from the North Slope. Hopefully they can finally get this project off the ground. I don't recall how many years it has been now that there have been talks and plans of another Alaska LNG terminal (Kenai LNG was the only one to date - which I believe has been converted to an import facility for a nearby refinery). What a great place to work. I love Alaska. [...] Under the agreement, Pantheon is expected to supply up to 500 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) of natural gas at a maximum base price of $1 per million BTU (mmBtu) in 2024 dollars. Additionally, the companies agreed on minimum daily contract volumes to calculate the level of the take-or-pay obligation. The contract period for natural gas deliveries is set to 20 years, with extension options, and it was highlighted that Alaska could reduce the natural gas unit price below $1 per mmBtu by cooperating with Pantheon to decrease the cost of project financing. Gulfstream LNG is proposing an LNG export terminal in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. Over the next five years, EIA expects North America’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity to expand by 12.9 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) as Mexico and Canada place into service their first LNG export terminals and the United States adds to its 11.4 Bcf/d of existing LNG capacity. Mexico. Three projects with a combined LNG export capacity of 1.1 Bcf/d are currently under construction—Fast LNG Altamira offshore and onshore, Fast LNG Lakach on the east coast, and Energia Costa Azul on the west coast. Canada: Two LNG export projects with a combined capacity of 2.1 Bcf/d are under construction in British Columbia on Canada’s west coast. 🇺🇸 🛠 First gas for Plaquemines LNG in Q2 to boost US domestic demand With the first of Plaquemines LNG three feeder pipelines, Venice Extension, approved for service, the terminal is ready to begin taking feedgas in the second quarter which will push up overall US demand in addition to the seasonal increase in cooling load.
