It’s tsuyu season which translates to rainy season in Japan! 🌧️ The season usually starts sooner from late May to early June in the southern Japanese region, while the northern region experiences it later as it travels north through mid-July. ⛈️ The tsuyu season doesn’t always indicate daily showers, as it can range from heavy storms to days without a single drop. ☁️ There are advantages and disadvantages to traveling to Japan during the rainy season. On one hand, even if it doesn’t rain daily, the humidity would persist which could be uncomfortable, though the temperatures would still be cooler. 🌀 Still, there is no guarantee a heavy storm won’t fall during your visit. On the other hand, travel activity would be lower, allowing better experiences at popular, crowded tourist attractions. Another advantage would be the breathtaking sights of temples, gardens, and hot springs which are especially attractive in the rain. ♨️ With the right attitude and proper rain protection, the rainy season is no reason to skip out on all Japan offers! ☔️ #TsuyuSeason #RainySeason #Tsuyu #Japan #JapaneseCulture #JapaneseTraditions #Rain #TravelJapan #JapanTravel

COMBAT IN THE MALDIVES! MY PROVEN PATH TO A LIFE BEYOND WILDEST DREAMS. Thrilled to share a slice of today's adventure from Male, Maldives 🌴⛈️. Woke up to a storm that seemed to challenge the day's plans—a 15 km run charted out by my coach Jurgen Zack. The easy path? To surrender to the comfort of cancellation. Yet, the journey to #OwningYourDestiny is paved with moments just like this. Today's storm wasn't just a meteorological event; it was a vivid metaphor for the hurdles we face on the path to a life beyond our wildest dreams. The elements of Surrender, Purpose, Connection, Goals, and Discipline aren't just steps; they are the very essence of navigating through life's storms 🏃♂️💨. Choosing to run through the flooded streets of Male was a testament to the discipline and resilience that fuel every step towards achieving the extraordinary. It embodied the essence of combat, as my mentor Gilsey wisely said, "War isn’t pretty...it’s your soul." This morning, amidst the rawness of the storm, my soul was utterly present, unwavering against the tempest of doubts. This weekend, as I share my Keynote on "OWNING YOUR DESTINY: THE PROVEN PATH TO A LIFE BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS," the storm's lesson will resonate deeply. It's about more than enduring; it's about embracing each challenge with a soul that knows no defeat. Remember, the path to your dreams is not void of storms; it's about learning to dance in the rain. Here's to conquering our inner storms and embracing the rawness of our journeys with open hearts and resilient souls. 🌧️💪 #Leadership #Resilience #MentalWellness #Networking #InspirationalJourney #NickJonsson #Ownership #ConferenceSpeaker

Off Piste Snow Report – N French Alps & surrounding areas – week starting 26th February 2024 Feeling more like winter again! A cooler week than recently, with some snowfall predicted for the N French Alps & surrounding areas, particularly along the mountains on the French side of the border with Italy. (Photo J. VACHER) Snowfall is predicted this week. As we keep saying, if any significant fresh snowfall (20 cm or so) does happen this will make for a very worrying period of snow instability at higher altitudes (above 2300 m) on the colder N’ish facing slopes (see the feature photo courtesy of Julien Vacher from this past Friday & below for more info on this). This could be the case on Tuesday, especially for areas near the French/Italian border (e.g. Haute Maurienne resorts like Val Cénis and probably also affecting places like Val d’Isère – near the Italian border i.e. the Le Fornet side). Where is North? See my TOP TIP 'find North using shadows' vid in this wk's report! For more details see my web site > ‘Snow Reports’ or on this link: https://lnkd.in/eZi-3vtJ

🌊⚓️ Embracing the Elemental Elixir: Water! ⚓️🌊 Hello, fellow seafarers! 🚢 Let's dive into the essence that keeps our sails billowing and our spirits afloat – WATER! 💦 Here are some facts to remind us why this liquid treasure is not just a necessity but a vital companion on our maritime journey: 1️⃣ Lifeblood of the Ocean: Just as the sea sustains us, water is the lifeblood of our bodies. It makes up about 60% of our total body weight, ensuring smooth sailing through all our daily endeavors. 2️⃣ Hydration Harmony: Our bodies constantly lose water through sweating, breathing, and other bodily functions. Replenishing this loss through hydration helps maintain optimal performance, keeping us sharp and ready for any nautical challenge. 3️⃣ Temperature Tamer: On the high seas, where the weather can be as unpredictable as the tides, water helps regulate our body temperature. It's like our own internal climate control system! 4️⃣ Nutrient Navigator: Water aids in the digestion and absorption of nutrients, ensuring that our bodies extract the maximum goodness from the sustenance we consume. A well-nourished sailor is a resilient sailor! 5️⃣ Joint Lubricator: For those of us navigating the rough waters of maritime life, water serves as a natural lubricant for our joints. Flexibility and agility are the keys to mastering the dance of the waves. 6️⃣ Detox Dynamo: Just as we scrub the barnacles off our ships to keep them seaworthy, water helps flush out toxins from our bodies, ensuring we remain in top-notch condition for all our adventures. 7️⃣ Mindful Maritime Mood: Dehydration can lead to fatigue and decreased cognitive function. Stay shipshape mentally by sipping on the elixir of life – water. A clear mind is a steady hand on the helm! Remember, seafarers, on this maritime journey, we're not just sailors; we're water enthusiasts! Let's celebrate the liquid gold that fuels our bodies and keeps our seafaring spirits afloat. 🚰💙 #WaterIsLife #SeafarersHydrate #SailorWellness #samanthamorrishealer #passagetowellness #ayurvedaatsea https://lnkd.in/eFygK3dB
