Is your boss a coach, believer, or struggling? This video with Kristen McAlister talked about the environment of the tools your sales team uses. I love using dashboards and CRMs, like they are scoreboards. However, some use CRM as a negative micro-manager. Empower the tools you use to track your success and provide you with track records on how you are successful. If a boss is struggling, they use the CRM to report the past and must increase the daily activities to keep their job. If a boss is a believer, they don't know how to log into the CRM and believes the team is doing its job. Success is not something we can impact, but it is what it is. It's marketing fault; the economy is struggling, and my team is weak. If your boss is a COACH...they know you get stronger if you're struggling and working to improve. They know you must track your activities to learn what works and what doesn't.
