Project Update! The new Anne Street Bridge is now complete. Our Transportation Structures team completed the detailed design for the Replacement of the Anne Street Underpass on Hwy 400 in Barrie and Interchange Reconstruction for future highway expansion for 10 lanes. The bridge was replaced with a 90 m two-span steel box girder bridge with precast deck panels and semi-integral abutments. The demolition work was completed under a single night full closure of Hwy 400 and the bridge replacement work was completed under a full road closure of Anne Street with detour routes, while all lanes were maintained on Hwy 400. The work required utility relocations (Rogers aerial pole, Bell conduit through structure, City of Barrie storm sewer). #mcintoshperry #turningpossibilitiesintoreality #bridgeproject #transportationstructures #highway

Its final step, Phase 5, is also currently underway, which will include the refurbishment of McCracken Road Bridge. https://lnkd.in/gZenQkkb McCracken Road Project 2022-2023 SEE Link For More Info. https://lnkd.in/guk5mRHf As a citizen who drives every day in Ozark you certainly recognize our volume of traffic is becoming more not less. The City of Ozark continues to be a highly desirable market for developers, both residential and commercial, because of the many wonderful attributes our community has to offer. As new growth occurs the impact that growth has on our infrastructure system, specifically transportation, creates significant demands for increased capacity. As a river community, bridges are a critical component to the transportation system as well as managing the flood waters that can cause road closures, increase safety risks, and cause property damage. Shown below is the initial stages of road construction whereby I'm using the auto level to control the excavation levels. The excavation levels depends on the type of soil and road design in this case , the road has 3 layers( the base, sub base and asphalt concrete). Intersight( Reading on the Levelling Staff) = Height of Collimation - Design Level. The staff man either raises or lowers the staff along the peg until intersight is read while maintaining the accuracy and precision. #EngineeringSurvey
