For more than 150 years, this prime riverfront real estate has been off limits to most Philadelphians. Now it has a new owner we bought the largest refinery is the Mississippi for the purposes of redeveloping it. A new name is the Bell of the District. Because Philadelphia is the city of firsts and a transformational plan, we're gonna create a true urban setting for innovation, which means weaving the 1300 acre property into the city grid. This should be 30 4th St. connecting penetration all the way to the Navy Yard. We want to connect the city center all the way to the airport without having to go on the highway. The bellwether district is owned by a company called Hilco Redevelopment Partners, or HRP, I like to say. Was employee number one. It was founded 10 years ago with the mission of buying obsolete industrial sites and turning them into green spaces that help the community, the environment and the economy. This is one of the biggest endeavors from old industry to new industry. So our first phase is right here. It is a $4 billion development. The plan includes 8 miles of new roads. We're sitting here in our first Rd. designed with all kinds of eco amenities, bike lanes, the ability to plug in. Electric vehicles. There's going to be 10,000 trees planted and more than 45,000 jobs created.

Bucks County, Route 1 emergency work. Tuesday 5-29-2024 James D. Morrissey Inc. was called out by PennDOT to fix an eroded and collapsed shoulder of Route 1 near Woodbourne Road. Our crews were mobilized on Tuesday 5-29-2024, 80ft of 18” HDPE Reestablishing 120ft of existing swale and rock lining with R-4 Reestablishing existing slope with topsoil, seed, and matting Used Multiple loads of concrete mixed with R-4 and R-6 to rebuild eroded slope Re-bundled and protected existing fiber optic line that was eroded Poured 13 yards of flowable fill as road base Place 25mm blacktop for roadway base Placing 9.5mm for top coat of roadway Rebuilt existing guiderail Friday 5-31-2024 road was reopened, JDM Materials Company and Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. did whatever it took to help get it done !! James D. Morrissey crews worked extended hours, full throttle to make it happen and get the road opened!!
