MY THOUGHTS: Joe Biden is a good and honorable statesman who has served our country well. He has pride, but he needs to be practical. The world cannot afford to have TRUMP back. Trump's 2025 Federalist Society plan and the acolytes he has lined up for many offices - to do whatever he tells them to do - are downright scary. He has already told us how disastrous his Presidency would be for our Democracy. In addition, Trump's Supreme Court has made many anti-democratic and insane decisions, like a President can do criminal acts as President (e.g., order wiretapping of opponents) and not be held criminally accountable. Biden should withdraw as the candidate and serve out his term with dignity to have the best chance of defeating Trump. The only option is for Vice President Harris to be the Presidential candidate. The VP must be well-spoken and help bring in at least one of the swing states. My recommendation is PA's Governor Shapiro. He is well-liked and has the potential to make a significant impact. There are a few other possibilities—governors and senators: Beshear (Kentucky), Evers (Wisconsin), and Inslee (Washington). It cannot be another woman or African American. Only a few possible Senators( cannot be anyone up for re-election), possibly Bennet and Hickenlooper (Colorado) or Mark Kelly (Arizona) - all quality people. God, please have Joe (& Jill) Biden make the right decision - soon.

#politics #unitedstates #nobelprize Former President Donald Trump is looking for a running mate and says many are “begging” him to be on his ticket. I never voted for Trump, though I wrote to him directly at The White House as I did to every president since Bill Clinton beginning 1996 after I became a US permanent resident and later a naturalized citizen in 2002, as I later read somewhere George Washington wanted citizens to do: write a letter. Hypothetically, if Trump were to call me and ask me to register Republican and be on his ticket: 1. Of course, I did not beg him to be on the ticket. If this is the tone he wants to take, a tone with which I did not put up even with the Federal Reserve Board or any number of senior executives I worked for in my career in the private sector, on any given day I would clean out my desk and resign. I wanted Tony Fauci of HHS to do the same during COVID. Trump lost in 2020, fair and square, because he mishandled COVID politically. 2. I would still not register with either political party and take my cue from George Washington on partisanship. 3. Obviously, as an immigrant I would not be eligible for the White House because I am not natural born and cannot constitutionally step in for the President, even if it is only temporary. The election, if held today, is a close tie between Biden and Trump within statistical margin of error, and could be a repeat of 2020. Biden, said if he loses, unlike Trump in 2020, he will concede and peacefully transfer power. This is an attaboy for Biden and the Democrats, and makes me, one independent among 50% of the American electorate, want to vote for him again as I did in 2020. Donald Trump has not said anything about what he would do if he were to lose again to Biden in 2024. For Trump to make me want to vote for him, the same litmus test which Biden passed applies to Trump. Is Trump going to peacefully concede the election or call for “bedlam” as he did after 2020?

**YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T SEE THIS VERY IMPORTANT NEWS** In his recent Townhall, Donald #Trump introduced a common sense, aggressive 8-point plan that will return the US to economic stability, create good-paying private sector jobs for Americans, reduce the size and cost of government, lower taxes and reduce inflation - very quickly. IF he is elected for a second term. Here it is for your consideration. https://lnkd.in/gEwmX7bF I have not endorsed any candidate for President...until now. Donald Trump and JD Vance will get my vote in the upcoming election. Here's why. Personalities do not matter to me; policies and results do. These policies (in writing) will create positive change - and - Pres. Trump's policies worked during his first term. IF you've taken the time to read this plan, I welcome your thoughtful comments. And if you haven't, your comments are not informed and do not matter.

Do we see a movement of taking back the Republican Party? "If Republicans Want to Win, They Need Trump to Lose - Big" "Trump will never concede defeat, no matter how thorough his loss. Yet the more decisively Vice President Kamala Harris wins the popular vote and electoral college the less political oxygen he’ll have to reprise his 2020 antics; and, importantly, the faster Republicans can begin building a post-Trump party." "The argument for the second of these cases being that, should he lose this year, he would once again insist he was cheated and hold out the possibility of a fourth consecutive bid, prolonging the party’s capture." "What is virtually certain come January is that conservatives will have a 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court, which will also serve as a check on the law and rulemaking coming out of a Democratic White House." https://lnkd.in/e3zajkG5

The attempt at Trump’s life is dramatic and horrendous. An attack on democracy. All who now claim this will strengthen Trump’s candidacy, including Ian Bremmer, Steve Schmidt and Derrick Van Orden, may be right in guessing this strengthens his support and contributes to Trump’s victory. But history often tells otherwise. There is no clear correlation between political assassinations and electoral support. Political (attempted) assassinations often reduce electoral support for the victim. Gerald Ford lost against Carter after two recent attempts at his life. Oscar Lafontaine fell in polls and clearly lost the 1990 election after a serious assassination attempt. And even more grotesque, the Norwegian Labour Party fell markedly in the opinion polls after the horrendous Utøya terror against the party. All of this is counter-intuitive. We may think most people feel sympathy with the victim - which they probably do. But the question of whether this sympathy translates into electoral support is much more complex. As the often considerable negative shift in support for assassination and terror victims reminds us.

I help leaders deliver what they are paid to deliver using my strategic, change, knowledge, decision-making, and problem-solving methods.
Trump, Biden, and SCOTUS - an outsider's view Before Biden makes his next move, one way or the other, and in light of the July 1, 2024 SCOTUS decision, he should: 1. Introduce an executive ruling that forbids anyone with a criminal conviction, or similar, to ever run for the presidency of the US. 2. Immediately disband SCOTUS as a result of their breach of the Constitution and reconstitute it with appropriate justices who are able to act independently and according to the law. 3. Eliminate and make illegal gerrymandering of the electorate. Establish an independent agency of government to determine all electoral boundaries and to safeguard the essence of the democratic process. 4. Recognise the criticality of the Constitution and the democracy that is its intention and the reality that a Republic win at the next election will kill the US democratic process and objectives of the Constitution. Accordingly, as a result of the (eroneous) perception of Biden's inabilities due to his age, announce that he will not run for another term.

🇺🇸🗳️🇺🇸🗳️🇺🇸 ❌ Biden has to go before he forgets he is president. In recent times, there has been mounting concern over the fitness of President Joe Biden to lead the nation effectively. These concerns stem primarily from his apparent memory problems, which have become increasingly evident. Firstly, the issue of President Biden's memory problems cannot be ignored. From forgetting crucial details during press conferences to struggling to articulate his thoughts, there are legitimate concerns about his ability to fulfill the duties of the presidency. The recent special report recommending no charges against President Biden has reignited debates about political bias towards Trump. While the scale and context of these investigations differ, it is essential to acknowledge the need for fairness and impartiality in all matters of justice, irrespective of political affiliation. Moreover, the comparison between Democrats' reactions to the Biden investigation and Trump supporters' responses to investigations against the former president are no different. Naming something bias and trying to discredit it because it’s not the outcome you want is never right. President Biden's press conference to address these concerns only served to underscore the seriousness of the issue. It is evident that his struggles with memory and coherence are not isolated incidents but represent a significant challenge to effective leadership. However, amidst these challenges lies an opportunity for the Democratic Party to course-correct. If they are to maintain their credibility and effectively challenge the opposition, they must be willing to confront uncomfortable truths and prioritise the greater good over individual interests. This moment presents a crucial juncture for American democracy and the Democratic Party. The decision to address President Biden's fitness for office and potentially nominate a more moderate and capable candidate could change the outcome of the election drastically from what looks like a trump win. But will they seize this moment to create an election winning campaign around a sensible candidate or will they double down to protect Biden? #us #uselection #biden #trump #Election

It’s time for Biden to do what is right and pass the baton on to a more capable leader who will mop the floor and win in a landslide over our former president. Everyone knows this is the right thing to do, The USA needs to insure our former president (34 felony convictions awaiting sentencing + 54 felony indictments including RICO from 3 independent grand juries in process) is not given the chance to overthrow our democracy and install himself as the fascist autocrat he desires to be. The MAGA Republicans want Biden to be their competition, because they know this is their only candidate they could possibly win against. “Whether Biden continues his 2024 bid for president after his halting debate performance against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is largely his decision, Democrats and political strategists have said. But Biden is under pressure. Some donors have called for him to step aside, and other Democrats are worrying openly that he is not equipped to beat Trump in November. There are 25 Democratic members of the House of Representatives preparing to call for Biden to step aside if he seems shaky in coming days, according to one House Democratic aide. A Reuters/Ipsos poll taken after the debate showed one in three Democrats think Biden should end his re-election bid.” #commonsense #leadership #integrity #nooneisabovethelaw #justice #accountabilty #stoptheinsanity #voteoutMAGARepublicans

So many good points.
"The GOP was remarkably successful at making Biden’s age an issue, and after the disastrous Trump/Biden debate earlier this summer, the entire country has spent the last month talking about how old is too old to sit in the Oval Office, and expressing concerns about the prospect of a very old man leading the nation. Well, Trump is now that very old man. He is a man who is not particularly articulate, and who often fumbles his words and mixes up people, places, and things. Voters have been primed—by him—to be very concerned about age and cognitive function. It was only in contrast to the subdued Biden that he seemed vigorous. Now he is almost surely facing off against a candidate who is two decades younger, appears significantly healthier, and comes across as much more intellectually adept—advantages that will hold true whether the ultimate candidate is Harris or some other, possibly even younger Democrat. ...The Trump campaign has made this election partly about crime and safety. If the match-up is Harris versus Trump, then it’s also the prosecutor versus the convicted felon. And the convicted felon oversaw a big jump in the murder rate while he was in office, while the former prosecutor saw murders go down during her time as vice president."
