Sorry network - I'll admit I'm in my feelings about this rn but (*today* *for now*) all I can do is make this problem more visible. I guess I'm sounding the #rainbowalarm this week. #heteronormativeAI could easily set the community back decades from what we have fought hard to achieve re: binary gender, gendered language, gender norms, compulsory heterosexuality. EDIT: To be more prescriptive: We HAVE to figure out how to train AI/ML models to recognize and respectfully reproduce non-normative expressions of gender and sexuality -- in word and image. #inclusivetech #genderequity #lgbtqrights
