During the monsoon, it's wise not to use cruise control on highways. Wet roads can be unpredictable, so it's safer to maintain control of your car's speed and handling manually.🚘 #myTVSAccessories #myTVSMonsoonDrive #MonsoonDriving #CarAccessories #DriveSafe #CruiseControlSafety #HighwaySafety

Road safety reminder: As a driver, do you follow traffic rules and signs completely? The following figure shows that a maintained car takes 51 meters to stop when driven at 70 km/h, while the braking distance increases to 110 meters when driven at 110 km/h. In many countries, we usually observe on highways the two speedlimits (80 km/h and 120 km/h), we notice that the braking distance is half the size of a soccer field when icreasing the speed from 70 to 120 km/h. Stay safe on the road and let's all follow traffic rules and signs completely. #roadsafety #drivecarefully #safetydistance # Any additional comments?

Did you know? In 1901, Connecticut set the first numerical speed limit for motor vehicles at 12 mph in cities and 15 mph on rural roads. We've come a long way since then, but the importance of speed limits remains the same: keeping us safe on the road. How fast do you think is too fast? Better late than never...am I right? #RoadHistory #RoadSafety #FleetRegulators #SpeedKills #SpeedLimit

Heavy vehicles with low and zero emissions operating in NSW will be subject to an increase in their axle mass limit, the @HVIA reported recently. 🚛🚚 Transport for NSW announced that approved networks will be released online first, followed by access for a range of heavy vehicle combinations under a series of Notices. The Notices will provide reference vehicles that specify maximum axle loads and axle spacing. https://lnkd.in/gTpqtmX8 #transportmanagement #supplychainmanagement #logisticsmanagement

It's time to stop ignoring it: More motor vehicles on the road, especially single occupancy vehicles, pose a danger to the health of those living in high density areas. Start riding public transportation a few times a week to help improve air quality! #LIRR #TransitSolutions #DidYouKnow

This white broken line divides the road into two, separating opposing streams of traffic. This line can be crossed if overtaking is essential, only if the oncoming carriageway is clear. Know the road markings well for conscious and safe driving. #SIAM #BTNR #SustainableMobility #RoadSafety #SurakshitSafar_SIAM #सुरक्षितसफर_SIAM

Safety advocates are thrilled about the passage of S.B. 961 in California, requiring all cars to have a system alerting drivers when they exceed the speed limit by ten mph. Have you ever considered how technology can enhance road safety for all? What are your thoughts on implementing Speed Limit Assist Technology in vehicles to reduce speeding and improve overall safety on the roads? 🚗🚦⚠️ #RoadSafety #CaliforniaCars #SafetyAdvocates

🚚 Fatal road collisions increasingly involve LCVs, research finds 🚚 An increasing number of fatal collisions on UK roads involve an LCV, according to a new report. ‘Commercial vehicle safety on strategic road network’, which features analysis based on figures from the National Highways Fatality Research Database, reveals that, in 2014, 19 out of 160 collisions covered involved an LCV. However, by 2019 – the most recent year for which full data is available – this had increased to 33 out of 145 collisions. The report was launched at a recent National Highways conference, where the organisation's Matt Staton gave advice on counter measures operators could adopt.
