Are you waiting, or are you taking the action you need to to get where you want to be?

This morning the content in the email I received from Lori Harder resonated hard. She talked about the idea of challenges and how they interact with our personal growth. That sometimes it feels like the universe just won't let up, and you're hit with one thing after another. Instead of letting it derail you, what if you looked at it this way - "What if this challenge is actually here for me? What if it's an opportunity to build resilience and let go of some of the fear that's been holding me back?" That every struggle, big or small, is not just happening to you — you actually called it in. What if we are bringing in these challenges so we can evolve, grow, and become our highest selves? These were her recommendations for when you're faced with a challenge: 👉 Name it and accept it: Acknowledge the challenge, and accept that it's happening for a reason. Think about why it might be showing up in your life and what lesson it’s bringing. Understanding this can shift your mindset from one of resistance to one of curiosity and openness. 👉 Create an action plan: Once you've identified the lesson, decide how you’ll address the challenge. Whether it's adjusting your approach, changing your perspective, or taking action; having a plan gives you control and direction. 👉 Express gratitude: Thank the challenge for the growth opportunity it brings. Gratitude can transform how you experience the situation, making it a stepping stone rather than a stumbling block.

But when you play small, you hide your unique gifts and potential from the world. It doesn’t serve you, and it certainly doesn’t serve others. By shrinking yourself, you deny the world the impact you were meant to make. Stepping into your full power, embracing your strengths, and sharing your light is how you create real change and inspire others to do the same.

Yesterday I got to spread a lot of SPARKLE with one of my favorite people, Heather Boschke at the WIRED. event... and I'm talking literal sparkle with matching sparkly boots, and glitter mocktails & cocktails! Heather facilitated a workshop about all things personal brand. Here's just a few takeaways: ⭐Your brand is how someone feels in the moment they interact with you or your business ⭐There's 5 ingredients of a strong personal brand - emotional, authentic, empathetic, clear, consistent. And bottom line, it turns out it's not all about you 😊 ⭐Your core values provide a sense of meaning and fulfillment when you live in alignment with them - Do you have values? Do you use them as a filter for the decisions you are making? ⭐Emotions drive more than 80% of our decision-making 🙃 ⭐Always position others as the hero and your brand as the guide ⭐LISTEN more ⭐Don't assume people know how your brand can change their life... tell them ⭐Everyone does not get access to all of you ⭐Your job is not to show up and be like everyone else - trying to appeal to everyone dilutes who you are and what you stand for ⭐You are where you once dreamed of being We got to do some shopping with Buddha Birdie and The Women Collective (Dr. Amelia Reigstad, PhD store opening soon in White Bear), and also support the incredible work Bluebirds & Blooms is doing to spread joy to seniors in hospice.
