What a great organization helping another great organization

We're a management consulting agency that works with nonprofits and philanthropies. We love doing the inner strategy-building, vision-creating, and infrastructure-refining. To do any of these tasks in a way that centers racial equity, our clients need a deep understanding of the systems that keep us from building equitable systems. All of our contracts include some form of political education to ground us in the true "why" of our work: collective liberation.

Our business consulting services includes solutions for nonprofits large and small. It's important to understand the role of the nonprofit Executive Director. As our CSO, Julie Griffith, states, "Presenting HR solutions to a staff, I found myself describing the role of the nonprofit Executive Director as one where the ED is at the bottom holding up both the board and the staff. Forget traditional models of the trickle-down org chart. The ED has the full (sometimes crushing) weight of managing the entire organization."

🚀 📣 I’m excited to announce the launch of Orange Oak Nonprofit Management. 🚀 📣 A year ago I had the opportunity to journey out and “do my own thing” through some contract work in a variety of areas/sectors.
