Meet Our Team: Heather Laine Talley, PhD, Lead Researcher. Heather works behind the scenes on client projects as a research analyst and thought partner extraordinaire. Heather is a teacher and trainer, a writer, a sociologist, a mama, a strategist, a storyteller, a facilitator, a deep listener, a curriculum designer, an intentional host, and a beyond-the-status-quo thinker. She believes another world is possible, and creates and nurtures wildly inclusive spaces designed for folks to flourish. In her former role as Co-Director of the Tzedek Social Justice Fund, she steered their flagship leadership program and co-led the organization’s transition from a donor-driven to a community-driven fund. Meet Our Team: Marsha Davis, Co-CEO and Co-Founder. Marsha is our principal consultant and drives our overall business strategy. Marsha is obsessed with strategies for collective liberation. Ask her about emergent strategy, the importance of strong internal systems, social justice philanthropy, or Octavia Butler. She brings over 15 years of experience in nonprofits and philanthropy to her work to support her clients in building values-driven strategies that enhance the resilience of our communities. In her prior role as the inaugural Executive Director at Tzedek Social Justice Fund, Marsha co-led their transition from a funder-led to a community-led fund and designed innovative grantmaking programs to support social justice leaders. Meet Our Team: Marcus Davis, Co-CEO and Co-Founder. Marcus is a systems geek with a passion for social justice. He drives our overall business strategy and provides cybersecurity and IT support to select clients. Ask him anything about AI, Doctor Who, or Star Trek and he'll respond with the same level of exuberant enthusiasm! Currently serving as the Director of Integrated Technology at the Movement for Black Lives, Marcus has built multiple tech-forward and agile IT departments to support mission-driven organizations. He has over 15 years of experience in IT support, consultation, and project management. He has held multiple roles in the industry, ranging from a level one help desk technician to an IT Director, which has given him a comprehensive understanding of the technological and support needs of organizations of all sizes.
