📝 A Personal Resume Touch 📝 AI has the potential to greatly impact how you craft your resume. While it can be extremely beneficial in streamlining the process, it's crucial to remember that adding a personal touch is still essential. Viewing AI as a tool to enhance your resume rather than replace the human element is key. Adding a personal touch to your resume is important because it allows potential employers to get a better sense of who you are as a person beyond just your qualifications and experience. You can showcase your personality and demonstrate how you would be a good fit for the company culture. This can help you stand out from other applicants and make a memorable impression on hiring managers. Additionally, adding a personal touch can humanize your resume and make you more relatable to recruiters and managers, ultimately increasing your chances of landing an interview.

People Business Leader | Science & Technology | Founder and CEO at RTA Consulting and Cognasent Scientific | SHRM-SCP | Stanford GSB LEAD | Mom
More tips from the Cognasent Scientific team, definitely read if you are using AI chatbots to help with your cover letters and job applications....
Can recruiters tell if you are using AI to craft your cover letter? One observation from our recruiting team members today - "90% of my [client name omitted] applicants start off their response for one of my questions with verbatim "I have extensive experience managing commercial product portfolios as a Project Manager...." When you drill down, many of these people do not have this experience. Ultimately, they may get through the app review and to what ever the first interview step is, but they are found out before they advance too far. It's giving people a means to put together a stronger response to screening questions than they'd have the ability to do otherwise and it may be giving them a "false confidence" that they are a fit for a role. Our bottom line: Some candidates are blatantly misusing AI, but we believe many are using it with the best of intentions to advance their profile, to combat frustrations they have felt by companies using AI in the recruiting process to screen candidates out, or using it simply to save time to craft statements that otherwise would take lots of time to craft by hand and customize to each role. They simply want a way out of the void to be able to explain their experience and how it could relate to the role they applied for. For that, hiring teams should have some empathy. Most importantly, candidates need to be educated on how to use AI to make those connections and to polish what they want to say, and not to fabricate experience that they do not have. Also know that other applicants are also using AI so maybe take a moment to re-write it in your own words or have the AI provide another draft with a different combination of words rather than the first or even second iteration. We hope this perspective helps! #jobapplicationtips #resumetips #coverlettertips #coverletterwriting

This "hack" may work to get Candidatess more interviews, IF the companies are using some kind of AI to parse resumes. All the AI or MI is doing is suggesting a candidate might be a good fit, based on words not actual talent assessment. It won't actually get you a job though. You still need to interview well, have the skills and know how to execute. It's not foolproof. Most Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) do not have this capability and a human is reviewing your resume. The best recruiters are not going to blindly use AI to determine who to invite to an interview. "Knock out questions" might feel like AI but really these type of questions are in place if you do not meet a minimum qualification or requirement. https://lnkd.in/eprRPg97 #recruiting #recruitment #talent #talentacquisition

Have you heard people say that getting an interview is the toughest part of the job search? Once you start applying, you’ll understand why. Even with a degree and experience, finding a job can be challenging, primarily due to how information is conveyed to the recruiter. If you guessed the resume, then you’re right. Your resume plays a vital role in securing an interview. You may have received various suggestions on how to craft your resume: some say to tailor each resume for each job, others suggest using AI tools, and some recommend keeping it as concise as possible. Which approach is right? Actually, all of them. Your resume is the only representation of you. Not all companies use AI software to filter resumes. In some big companies, if a manager finds your experience relevant, they might pass your resume directly to HR for an interview. So, prepare a resume that effectively tells your story, highlights your experience, and explains why you would be a great fit for the job. Focus on relevant skills and experiences rather than hobbies like reading books or dancing. Start working on it. Take some time to prepare it as it gives you the push for your career. I’m available for resume tips and reviews. Don’t hesitate to drop me a message if you need some guidance.
