💉Transgenic “Edible” Vaccines 🧐Very Interesting 🤨… In a shocking revelation, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has recently brought to light a deeply concerning issue that should alarm every American citizen. The U.S. government is currently funding research into “transgenic edible vaccines,” a term that sounds like it’s straight out of a dystopian science fiction novel. Yet, it is very much a reality, and it’s happening right under our noses… The Gateway Pundit reported in 2021 that scientists at the University of California, Riverside, have been experimenting with turning edible plants like lettuce and spinach into mRNA vaccine factories. According to the press release published by the University of California, the project aims to utilize mRNA technology, similar to that used in COVID-19 vaccines, to turn edible plants into vaccine factories. The research is funded by a $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation and has three primary goals… SKYWATCHTV.com https://lnkd.in/gNrP4kPg?

Onesimus: The Enslaved African-American Who Revolutionized Immunization On this #Juneteenth, as we commemorate the end of slavery and honor the generations of African-Americans who endured immense suffering, I want to highlight the story of Onesimus, an enslaved man in Boston whose knowledge revolutionized immunization. Onesimus, whose birth name remains unknown, was thought to be born in what is now modern-day Ghana. He was forcibly brought to Boston in 1706 and enslaved by Cotton Mather, a prominent Puritan minister. In 1716, during a smallpox outbreak, Onesimus shared with Mather the practice of inoculation, a traditional African technique that involved exposing a healthy person to material from the sores of an infected individual to confer immunity. Recognizing its potential, Mather advocated for inoculation during the devastating smallpox outbreak of 1721. Hundreds of Bostonians were inoculated, significantly reducing the death toll compared to other cities. This marked a turning point in the history of immunization. Onesimus’s contribution paved the way for the development of the smallpox vaccine by Edward Jenner later in the 18th century, a breakthrough that has since saved countless lives worldwide. On this Juneteenth, let’s commit to recognizing the suffering and enduring spirit of countless African-Americans, their resilience, and innovation. General Manager Intercontinental (ANZ, Korea and Singapore) Member of Expert Advisory Panel for Genomics Australia
Great to see there is an Australian Government Senate Enquiry into diagnosis and treatment of individuals with rare and less common cancers and the many submission made. The public hearing is tomorrow. While some of the individual patient stories make for difficult reading, and I am sure difficult telling, I thank these people for sharing the truth. It is only by telling these stories that we can bring to life the devastating impact these cancers have and how we must do everything we can to change the prognosis. I was also encouraged to see so many of the submissions bring to life the vast impact Cancer Genomic Profiling (CGP) is having on cancer patient outcomes and as a result many of the submissions are calling for early access to CGP in a cancer diagnosis and for this test to become standard of care in Australia. Every year many promising new cancer treatments are emerging and many of these therapies are molecularly targeted. CGP provides a way to maximize identification of these matches and is the future of precision medicine in cancer. While we may not have a treatment for every type of cancer, we do have many already available. And the technology is ready now, today, to find the patient that matches these treatments. Let’s use it as every life counts! #LungCancer is one of the most expensive cancers when diagnosed at a late stage, costing tens of thousands more than early-stage treatment. In a recent New York Times letter to the editor, our #CEO, Laurie Ambrose, highlighted the crucial role of #EarlyDetection through lung cancer screening. As Laurie stated, "We need to invest more, not less, to find the disease early when it can be managed and cured...Screening saves lives." Hi all, I know linked in is for professional conversations but I’m breaking protocol here with an ask for some help.🙏🏻🙏🏻 As you all most likely know, we’ve been through a pretty rough few months with Fletcher; however you may not know that my eldest son Levi has an ongoing struggle with a super rare disease - VHL (Von Hippel Lindau) a rare genetic cancer. Since being diagnosed in 2020, they have discovered multiple tumours in Levi’s brain, spine, retinas, kidneys and pancreas. He has lost sight in one of his eyes and survived brain surgery in 2021. It’s been a lot. But there is HOPE for him and others with VHL. A drug called Belzutifan, which reduces VHL tumour growth, is now here - the only problem is that it costs $12,000 a month and is a medication you need to take for life. Belzutifan has just gone up for consideration to go on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). If/when it does it will be $7 a month. Yep, $7 to potentially save someone’s life and help in avoiding countless surgeries over a life time. VHL sufferers cannot wait for the government to deliberate on this while their tumours continue to grow. For some, another surgery isn't an option. They are running out of time. Please sign our petition to get Belzutifan on the PBS. It will take less than a minute. ( and please ensure you click the link in the email that is sent back- no signing is valid unless this email is verified) Thanks so much in advance for your support, we need all the support, awareness and media coverage https://lnkd.in/gvuHKFtk Closing date for signatures: 17 April 2024 10:59 PM

Tonight's #Jenesis post is about a 2015 paper on civility in the Canadian public service and the disproportionate impact of seemingly inconsequential words and actions. It defines incivility, provides examples of disrespectful behaviour and makes suggestions about how to combat incivility. https://lnkd.in/gPFQd9Ra Craig Dowden, Ph.D. #legacy #OvarianCancer
