We are offering free comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) to Australians living with advanced, incurable, or an earlier diagnosis of a poor prognosis cancer. Through a world-leading initiative, we aim to match the right patients to the right treatment or clinical trial through the use of CGP to provide more personalised and effective treatment options. The real impact of our work is best understood through the voices of some of the people living with cancer that they've matched and we’re excited to introduce you to them. Download the patient information booklet, as this is a helpful resource to have handy when you speak with your cancer doctor (oncologist) about your eligibility for free CGP with Omico: https://lnkd.in/g_2iJ-2r You can also visit https://lnkd.in/g8XM4XRd to hear real patient stories. #Omico #CancerMeetsItsMatch #CGP #ComprehensiveGenomicProfiling #MeetThePeopleThatMatched

Congratulations to Rare Cancers Australia for a great #CANFORUM24 event. We were honoured to be part of it and support the launch of 'Rare Cancer Moonshot'. It is beyond time that all patients with rare cancers, and their families, have mainstreamed access to the available technologies in cancer care that can be potentially life-extending or life-saving. Equity of access is key - no-one should be left behind when we have tools and solutions at hand. At Omico, we're working hard with many partners to solve for this. Take a look at the 'A Rare Cancer Moonshot: Equity for everyone with cancer' report, launched at CanForum 2024: https://lnkd.in/gKUp-tUy The report sets an ambitious target for Australia: to achieve greater than 90% five-year survival for everyone diagnosed with cancer, and for true equity of experience by 2035. This report outlines the immediate actions needed to bring us closer to achieving this bold vision. We’re part of this a united effort to improve survival for all people diagnosed with cancer. #CanForum #Omico #RareCancersAustralia

We recognise that understanding the advances of genomic technology in cancer care can be challenging. With this in mind, we have initiated ‘Meet the People That Matched’, an educational campaign about comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP), matched treatments, precision oncology and the role of clinical trials, through presentations by real patient stories of their own lived experiences. CGP makes it possible to identify specific features about your tumour, providing information that would otherwise not be available. This information can help doctors potentially match you to a clinical trial, or another treatment, designed to target your specific cancer. Omico is providing access to free CGP for people in Australia living with advanced, incurable or a poor prognosis cancer. Learn more about how it works and eligibility requirements by visiting the Omico website at https://lnkd.in/g8XM4XRd Or by simply downloading the Omico patient information booklet here: https://lnkd.in/g_2iJ-2r #Omico #CancerMeetsItsMatch #CGP #ComprehensiveGenomicProfiling #MeetThePeopleThatMatched

Receiving a cancer diagnosis can be profoundly shocking, especially when the diagnosis is of an advanced or incurable cancer. A not for profit organisation Omico is connecting patients with low-survival cancers to more personalized treatment programs. Each person has their own genetic makeup, and that makes their cancer different as well. If we can identify the specific genetic features that make a person’s cancer unique, we can use a more targeted therapy. While not all people qualify for Omico tumor testing, you can discuss it with your medical team to see if it might be suitable for you. On the SBS podcast, Matthew shares how this journey has profoundly impacted his life and that of his family. Listen to his story to learn more about the challenges and hope that come from accessing personlised medicine. Listen to the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/gG_pkz4t Please note: We are sharing this information to support and inform people with Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancer. We have no financial connection to this program. Please always consult with your medical team to determine the best treatment plan for you.

Meet our new nation wide educational campaign – Meet the People That Matched! The purpose of this campaign is to help increase awareness and understanding of comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP), precision oncology matched therapy and Omico's Cancer Screening Program. The campaign features the stories of real patients who have experienced CGP and treatment matching. It also provides links to clear, fact-based information for patients, their families and communities. We are incredibly grateful to the four incredible individuals and their families who shared their challenging stories so openly and honestly with us. We’re sure you’ll be amazed by their courage when you meet them in this campaign. We are so excited to share that over 7,500 patients have been referred to PrOSPeCT*, by over 800 clinicians! (*Precision Oncology Screening Platform Enabling Clinical Trials) This means that the total number of patients referred to Omico initiatives now exceeds 15,000! These 15,000+ individuals sought additional information about their cancer through comprehensive genomic profiling, along with the possibility of being matched with targeted therapies that may have otherwise gone undiscovered for them. We thank every single patient, family, health care professional, Omico employee, partner and stakeholder for their commitment and support to date. We are fully committed to supporting the entire cancer community to make the most of the PrOSPeCT initiative, which is aiming to provide free comprehensive genomic profiling to 23,000 Australians with advanced, incurable or poor prognosis cancers by the end of 2025.
