Imagine that you are interested in working in a specific department of a particular company - but, before you apply - you have the opportunity, without obligation, to:  👉 come to the headquarters,   👉 take part in an office tour,   👉 get to know the entire team of this department,   👉 listen to the team’s responsibilities,  👉 test themselves in a sample task from that area.     We imagined it too.  And then we realized it 😊     That’s why, in May, we invited over students to our office in Warsaw to participate in a Practical #Marketing Workshop.  ✅ Participants learned more about the company as a whole - including directly from representatives of the Board of Directors - and in detail about the specifics of work in our #marketing department (Consumer Insight, Brand Marketing, Brand Strategy).  ✅ As part of the assignment, students could analyze real marketing data and work together to create a strategy and campaign for their brand—from A to Z.   ✅ All the while, they could count on the support of experts from the marketing department, who answered every question asked and provided helpful tips.     After the presentation of the developed results, it was time for pleasure - pizza 🍕, office tour 🏨 and networking 🤝.  Video 👇 Check our internship's job offers --> https://lnkd.in/dU-5q3Xp Do you like this way of getting to know the company?  #recruitment #makehistory #development #workshop #internship #intern Philip Morris International

First one’s are always SPECIAL! Isn’t it? Let me share my Panasonic internship experience today Honestly, when you are working at a big MNC as an intern, that too, at an undergraduate level, the probability that people will take you seriously is too less! -> You aren’t their employee who’s on a pay-roll -> You aren’t someone who is there for a long term -> You aren’t someone who will adapt to their culture in a month or two Still, they will treat you nicely, but that’s not enough if you really want to add some value and make that experience count. You have to go an extra mile, seeking to work by showing your interest and constantly proving your reporting manager that you are willing to put in more. I’m thankful to my manager to trust me as a result of which, I was exposed to the consumer market trends and how to conduct competitive analysis. You ought to take that first step because the days are gone when you used to be spoon fed! The only mantra that works here is :- ASK for it -> WORK on it -> DELIVER results #internship #experience #mnc

Bright Network Internship Experience 2024 DAY 2: The second day of the internship was very intense and insightful. The whole session was hosted by Rachel Delaney Head of Marketing Bright Network. The second day kicked off with Laura Tye from Clyde & Co sharing some great tips on how to build a successful career 🚀 👉 Resilience is a key 👉 You are never overprepared 👉 Only you can sell you 👉 Be curious & take as many opportunities as you can The later part of the session was sector focused on Business, Operations & Marketing: The first guest was Victoria Stedman (Corporate colleague Engagement Officer) from British Airways - Gave a brief on the background of British Airways and some of the key challenges that the company has gone through after COVID-19 and how they are trying to overcome them. - She also shared the specific skills required to work at British Airways. The second guest was Daisy Thompson and Juetong Liang from Nestlé where they discussed on Sustainability in the FMCG industry. - The key points include Nestlé's sustainability strategies and how they are taking various steps to increase sustainability. - Moreover, the talk also involved various R&D done by the company to increase sustainability. Next, the third guest was Marie Fukuura from AB InBev where she discussed: - AB's evolution and how they have acquired other brands. - She also talked about the 10 principles that the company follows. The fourth guest was Aileen Nathan from Mondelēz International where she went in depth with her role as a Commercial Director. Some of the key learnings were: - Working in sales requires talking to customers every time to understand what they are looking for. She also recommended a book: How to Influence Friends & Family for anyone who wants to build a career in Sales. The fifth guest was Charles Frost from AlphaSights who talked about An Introduction to Sales (B2B) - He went in-depth about the work they do at AlphaSights and it was quite fun and informative session. - He also discussed the 5 sales executive traits from the book The Challenger Sale. Lastly, the session ended with Lydia Cronin from Bright Network sharing in detail about Demand Generation: - She shared the difference between demand generation marketing vs other marketing channels. - She also talked about the various roles to work in demand generation. Overall, the day was very resourceful. Thank you once again Bright Network for hosting this experience. 8 months ago, when Candice Davis-Griffin (VP of Marketing) approached me about bringing on interns, I eagerly said, "Yes! That sounds like a fantastic idea! I'm ready for the challenge!" 🌟 Inside, I was thinking, "Me? Lead a team of impressionable interns? Are you sure???" 😅 To be completely transparent, I still feel like I have so much to learn and explore in my professional journey. There’s a vast world of knowledge and experience ahead of me, and I felt quite unprepared to onboard and lead a team. 📚 But one thing I’ve learned at Live! Casino & Hotel is that when leadership offers you a challenge or opportunity, it’s because they believe in your success. 🙌 So, we dove into "Operation: Let Su Be a Team Leader." 🚀 Ilse Denning and Jamie Alatzas were my summer interns and the first interns I ever had. From our initial interviews, I knew I had to have them on my team. Not only were they impressive on paper, but they also shone brightly with their insights and enthusiasm. 🌟 And I must say, they have exceeded all expectations! 🌠 Thank you both for being a remarkable start to our Marketing internship program and for allowing me to grow alongside you as a leader. I literally WASTED 2 years of my LIFE (No clickbait) Yes! That’s what I think when I actually look back at things. If I would have utilised those 2 most crucial years efficiently then I would have been in a much better position. For the first two years, I was another lost soul in hundreds. I didn’t do anything productive. -> No professional course (Actuary/CA/CFA/FRM) -> No dual degree -> No participation in college societies -> No participation in case competitions -> No internships -> No plans for MBA Then what did I focus on? Honestly, I shifted 99% of my focus on - -> socialising (a lot) -> exploring north campus (so called DU life) -> social outings and trips -> just living in the moment From being a complete introvert (had just 4 friends) during school days to undergoing a 180 degree personality transformation. I didn’t understand I was focusing only on building my personality, but at the cost of my professional life. Post sem IV, when we got our first and last summer break (just COVID BATCH things), I thought a lot about what I had been doing for the past 2 years. That’s when I went all in and managed to grab my first office internship at Panasonic India. After I got corporate exposure, I knew what I had to do! Everything else happened with time and efforts (ofcourse). I ended up doing 4 internships in my final year, made a professional presence on LinkedIn, tried a few more things (B-plans, founding a society, GMAT prep) ,but some of them didn’t work out fully! But I’ve no regrets because I gave it a try atleast! So, whoever is reading it till here, take this post as a reminder That it’s never too late to make the right amends!
