I, personally, regret that we relegate important things like advocacy and awareness of women's 🙋♀️ history, Black history 👊 , and LGBTQ 🌈 pride to a month or a week or whatever the calendar calls for.
Doing so implicitly gives some folks permission to ignore these important matters during the rest of the year or suggests that they only matter during those respective periods.
But ➡ I've also learned to "make the best" of an imperfect solution. It's what good lawyers and leaders do.
As an example of this, I am excited to share what our co-founding partner and fearless leader, Heather Hilgers, has been up to as we begin Women's History Month.
Recently, Heather attended and our firm sponsored the biennial Women Lead Conference co-hosted by the Nebraska College of Law & Nebraska College of Business. She also participated in a panel discussion about creating a legal practice where women thrive.
And fortunately for us and the attendees, she knows what she is talking about.
⚖ As one of the largest woman-owned law firms in the country, Hilgers Graben PLLC has prioritized creating the kind of environment where women (and men) can lean-in and lean-out, depending on their life circumstances. We believe that meeting people where they are is a key element of a flourishing practice.
Please follow our firm for some of her wisdom and practical tips, as well as some great legal content for businesses of all sizes.
