How do we work on halving foodwaste? One of the solutions is regarding unavoidable foodlosses not as waste but as still valuable and nutritious ingredients to be upcycled to food! It already has cost so much energy in production so therefore these sidestreams must be upcycled to food and food ingredients. How can we work on making this the new normal! We know! I am very proud of the great work of the Foodvalley NL team and all our Upcycling Community partners and ecosystem partners joining forces in the shared aim of making the use of upcycled food and ingredients the new normal in retail and foodservice offerings! 👏 📣 In writing the Position Paper on Upcycled Food and Ingredients published today on how to make upcycling to food and ingredients the new normal and the new UPcycled4Food Initiative launched today at the Halving Foodwaste Conference. 🚀 We work in practice on transitioning together with our partners towards a more circular agrifood economy!
