Every year, Australia generates an astounding 30,000 tonnes of commercial furniture waste, with 95% of it ending up in landfill. At JL Fitouts, we’re committed to achieving zero-waste operations—a goal that’s challenging but essential. Apart of that goal is to achieve an ISO 14001 EMS accreditation. Commercial furniture often comes with unique challenges: high repair costs and, at times, materials containing hazardous elements like adhesives and fire retardants, making recycling difficult. Here are a few steps we’re taking to make a difference. We believe that if everyone does what’s within their power, it can have a significant impact—not only for those in need but also in leaving a positive imprint on the environment. #SustainableWorkspaces #ZeroWaste #FurnitureRecycling #EcoFriendlyOffice #SustainableDesign #WasteReduction #CommercialFurniture #OfficeInstallations
As part of our commitment to leaving a positive footprint in the industry, we strive to minimise waste in every way possible. We collaborate closely with councils to ensure proper recycling, partner with charities to give furniture a second life, and donate to those in need. Our goal is zero waste to help for a more sustainable future 🌍 JL Fitouts #Sustainability #ZeroWaste #CommunityFirst #JLFitouts #GiveBack #communityimpact #recyclereuse #supportlocalcharities
