At Justine Sherman & Associates, we believe in the power of family-centered care. 💙 Our goal is to empower families by providing clear, accessible information, involving them in goal-setting, and creating a welcoming environment that encourages questions and collaboration. One of the most important aspects of our approach is emphasizing the benefits of home practice. By reinforcing therapy strategies at home, families help children generalize skills learned in therapy to their everyday lives. This not only supports faster progress but ensures that the skills become second nature—leading to lasting success! We’re here to support you every step of the way, making therapy a team effort!

Have you ever been a part of a live supervision experience using a one-way mirror? It is powerful, and today I am teaching a group of professionals the different ways that this can be used with clients. Because QIFT takes a multi-positioned stance when working with clients, today the group will learn how to do a consultation message from first generation schools of family therapy as well as how to contribute to a reflecting team discussion as part of second generation ways of working. This one-way mirror image is compliments of the Family Nurture clinic. #familytherapy #familytherapist #livesupervision

In this new video, we go into detail about how we helped seniors and what we learned during this process. Most importantly, we took those learnings to develop a new offering, the Designed-For-You (DFY) Personal Playbook (...we talk about the WHY more in the video...). We coach teams on building a culture of high quality care by utilizing tools that promote effective communication and collaboration. @Lashawn Chaney from #EmersonHouse explained, "This (Community Quality Board) has worked well for us to see what is going on and what we could do better... We implemented huddles on the night shift...It helps us to see what is going on on our shift, what happened on the following shift, and what we can do better. It gets everyone involved." Do you want to know if your community has a culture of high quality care? Communication, advocacy, and even history-taking are all behaviors engrained in the EMS provider. In fact, we can all think of an educator, preceptor, or partner who helped teach and role-model these skills. Because these behaviors reflect our training, they are also open to bias based on our different lived experiences. Join us this month for the Prehospital Care Research Forum education webinar as we review this scoping review on using simulation to teach behavioral skills related to diversity, equity, and inclusion: https://ow.ly/Kkve50QTHNb

This week, we are featuring one of COAST's founding members and a COAST Board Member at-Large, Arnold Woodruff, MS, LMFT. We asked Mr. Woodruff about what made him join COAST, his vision of COAST's larger mission, and what he hopes other MFTs will find by joining COAST. If his thoughts resonate with you, join COAST: https://lnkd.in/gBzCyeWc 1. What made you become a founding member of COAST? [Mr. Woodruff] I got involved with COAST after the by-laws change as I was (and am) concerned about state-level information and advocacy for our profession when the existing state organizations were unsupported or taxed out of existence. 2. Describe COAST's mission in a way that feels meaningful to you. [Mr. Woodruff] The mission of COAST is to ensure a place for emerging and existing systemic therapists to go for networking, information, advocacy, and support with state and local-level knowledge and insight. 3. What would you like future COAST members to find in COAST? [Mr. Woodruff] I would like members to find a welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable home to support folks in their work as systemic therapy professionals. 4. What's one good reason more MFTs should consider joining COAST? [Mr. Woodruff] COAST remains focused on the day-to-day needs of systemic therapy professionals and students as we, as a distinct minority in numbers and theory, advance the value and visibility of our profession. #mft #systemictherapy #systemictherapists
