🌍 Making infrastructure sustainable - one gantry at a time! 🚧 Together with ASFINAG, we have installed the first operational "Green Gantry" made from renewable timber on a highway in Carinthia, Austria. 🌱 Reduced CO2 footprint: by using renewable timber, the Green Gantry binds 15 tons of CO2 compared to the up to 30 tons produced by steel gantries. 🌿 Environmental Benefits: With a lifespan of at least 20 years, the gantry can be dismantled and reused, minimizing environmental impact. ⚙️ Technical Features: Features weather-resistant layers and is powered by its own photovoltaic system with battery storage to ensure continuous operation. "Metro Vancouver is installing new technology at the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant with the power to turn liquid waste into jet fuel! It’s called hydrothermal liquefaction (or HTL for short), and it creates high-quality, low- carbon, renewable fuel that can be used in airplanes, container ships, trains and trucks. Metro Vancouver’s HTL project will not only reduce the amount of biosolids that we will need to apply to land, it also provides a circular approach to creating fuel from the carbon that is already circulating in our environment.
