🌍 Making infrastructure sustainable - one gantry at a time! 🚧 Together with ASFINAG, we have installed the first operational "Green Gantry" made from renewable timber on a highway in Carinthia, Austria. 🌱 Reduced CO2 footprint: by using renewable timber, the Green Gantry binds 15 tons of CO2 compared to the up to 30 tons produced by steel gantries. 🌿 Environmental Benefits: With a lifespan of at least 20 years, the gantry can be dismantled and reused, minimizing environmental impact. ⚙️ Technical Features: Features weather-resistant layers and is powered by its own photovoltaic system with battery storage to ensure continuous operation. Regeneration in the realm of ports means breathing new life into their infrastructure, ecosystems, and surrounding communities with a focus on sustainability and resilience. This includes actions like reviving deteriorated coastal zones, introducing eco-friendly infrastructure projects, and supporting local economies through sustainable methods. By regenerating ports, we're essentially creating lively, eco-conscious centers that set an example for sustainable growth, making a positive impact on people's lives today and for the generations to come. 🌍 Taking Bold Steps Towards Decarbonization 🌱 The urgency of climate action is undeniable. At Westport, we recognize the critical role businesses play in driving sustainable change. That's why we're proud to announce our recent photovoltaic (PV) installation expansions in our Brescia (Italy) and Słupsk (Poland) plants. These installations are not just about embracing renewable energy; they signify our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and mitigating climate change. Covering up to 20% of our energy demands in those plants, and reducing our carbon footprint is a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. The time for action is now, and we're committed to playing our part. Join us in our mission to drive positive change and build a more sustainable world for generations to come. Together, we can make a difference. 🌟☀️ #ClimateAction #Decarbonization #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #PVInstallation

This is another project we've been able to help be apart of over the last two years, as Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant has been making the needed upgrades to the area to be able to support this project. If you need quick communication and delivery to the community / area that you are responsible for, contact us today! "Metro Vancouver is installing new technology at the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant with the power to turn liquid waste into jet fuel! It’s called hydrothermal liquefaction (or HTL for short), and it creates high-quality, low- carbon, renewable fuel that can be used in airplanes, container ships, trains and trucks. Metro Vancouver’s HTL project will not only reduce the amount of biosolids that we will need to apply to land, it also provides a circular approach to creating fuel from the carbon that is already circulating in our environment. Unlike fossil fuels, using the bio-crude does not change the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere... " LINK TO VIDEO: https://lnkd.in/giApjhab
