Civility is how we act, interact, when we disagree or think we might disagree with others. How we respond. Without strong emotional intelligence skills it is hard to act civilly. This is a choice. Each individual. No one wants to be in a group or organization that is not civil. Be around others who make the choice to be uncivil. People will quit , or quiet quit an organization that fosters or tolerates Incivility. The solution: Organizations can teach emotional intelligence skills and have individuals exercise civility all the time. Online and in real world interactions. Creating a good habit in all. Measuring progress and keeping each other accountable. Aligning vision, mission, purpose with a culture of civility. We applaud SHRMs focus on fostering cultures of civility. We share a common mission, vision, purpose with SHRM. 👍👏
