If you’re like me and love a good iced tea, you’re in for a treat - here’s my personal Rooibos recipe 👇🏻 What You’ll Need: 🌿 100ml of Kookfontein Loose Leaf Rooibos 🌿 Water Recipe: 🌿 Boil: I start by adding 100ml of Rooibos leaves to a pot of fresh water. I bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 5-8 minutes to really get that deep, rich flavor. 🌿 Cool: After brewing, I let the tea cool completely. It’s crucial for that crisp, refreshing taste that makes me look forward to every sip. 🌿 Refrigerate: I pour it into the fridge and keep a liter ready each day from a larger batch, so I always have fresh iced tea at hand. Eco Tip: Don’t throw away the used Rooibos leaves! I use them as mulch or compost in my garden. It’s a small way I help the earth and keep my plants thriving. Top Tip Tuesday: make your own non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe 🍷🎄🤶 (oh how things have changed 🤣🤰🏻🥰) or make it with normal red wine if you'd like! Makes 12 small cups 1 orange 🍊 1 lemon 🍋 6 cloves 1 star annise Handful of fresh cranberries (optional) 1 satsuma or clementine 1 bottle of non-alcoholic red wine 🍷 1 cinnamon stick 75g caster sugar or coconut palm sugar Carefully peel the zest very thinly from the orange and lemons using a vegetable peeler. Squeeze out the juice and reserve. Stick the cloves into the satsuma. Pour the wine, 1 pint of cold water, and the citrus peel and juices into a large, heavy-based saucepan. Add the clove-studded satsuma and cinnamon sticks. Bring the mixture just to the boil, then reduce the heat until the mixture is simmering, cover the pan with the lid, and continue to simmer for about 1 hour. Stir in the sugar gradually during cooking, until the mulled wine is sweetened to your liking Strain the mulled wine and serve hot in cups. It can be reheated. #mulledwine #recipe #toptip

INGREDIENTES 4 1/5 cups water 1/4 lb. rice, ground 1 clove 1 stick cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 small can sweetened condensed milk 1/4 lb. peanuts (ground) PREPARACIÓN 1) Soak the ground rice in the water overnight. The next day, pour rice mixture into a blender. 2) Add cinnamon, salt, and a whole clove. 3) Liquify the mixture in the blender. 4) Strain the mix through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. 5) Stir condensed milk and ground peanuts into the strained liquid. 6) Refrigerate until chilled.
