It's Hospice Care Week and did you know that as many as 90% of people who die in the UK would benefit from palliative care? Currently, one in four people in the UK die without the care and support they need. And many don’t die in the place they would wish to die. Since 1989 we have helped almost 30,000 local people with specialist care at home and at our hospice. Our care includes things you might not expect like coffee mornings and other social groups, emotional and practical support for carers and family members, wellbeing programmes and complementary therapies - even tai chi.
