I am absolutely delighted to be representing ClimbUK by Investor Ladder speaking at the "Convention of The North" today in #Leeds. I have been asked to talk about why #events like #Climb24 are important to the region. We all know that the #North of the UK is a great place to build a #business, to #work and to invest, but for some people outside of the regions, it can be difficult to navigate and to find the right partners. It's 2024, we get it. "It's a new year!" "It's a new me!" "I'm going to change, I mean it!" We've all heard that stuff ad nauseam and this year is no different than any other. If you are SERIOUSLY committed to change, simply copying and pasting the same list of New Year's Resolutions you wrote down last year won't work. 2023, our biggest most rewarding year so far—yet also the most challenging for me personally and professionally. From new product launches, partnerships, retail ventures and team members, to the nail-biting financial pressures of managing a growing business, it’s been a roller coaster of calculated risks—some paying off unexpectedly, others offering tremendous learning experiences. And while there have been countless overwhelming moments in 2023 for me and our small team at Cancha, here's the thing: I’ve had the best time of my life doing it. I’m incredibly proud of the honest progress we’ve made this year, the friends we’ve made along the way, and all those who have offered support and advice at each turn.
