At KODA, we honor the decision of deceased donors and donor families, but did you know that we also support the selfless decision to make a direct and immediate impact to save and improve quality of life for someone in need through living donation? That’s why KODA has a special Living Donor Leave Policy for employees who choose to give this gift—because donation not only saves lives, it also inspires hope and action throughout our communities. Right now, we have a member of our own community waiting for this healing gift. Deneal, daughter of our Family Support Liaison Tanda, is in need of a kidney transplant after living with Antiphospholipid Syndrome and IGA Nephropathy. This National Living Donor Day, we encourage you to reach out to your local transplant center to learn more about becoming a living donor. If you’d like to explore whether you may be a match for Deneal, you can indicate your interest in being contacted by the University of Cincinnati Living Donor program at https://lnkd.in/gUBXc8eT

"Every day, thousands of people depend on the kindness and generosity of blood donors to survive. For many, a simple blood donation can mean the difference between life and death. Today, on World Blood Donor Day, I want to share a remarkable story that illustrates the power of blood donation to create miracles, and to inspire each of you to consider giving the gift of life through donation." "The Miracle of Donation": A mother named Maya gave birth to her baby prematurely. The baby was born with a rare blood disorder and needed regular blood transfusions to survive. But due to the baby's rare blood type, finding compatible blood was a challenge. That's when Maya's husband, a first-time blood donor, was found to be a perfect match, and he donated his blood to save their child. Their story illustrates the power of blood donation to create miracles. So when you donate blood, you're not just saving a life, you're also saving a family, a community, a future. The power of your donation ripples out into the world, creating a wave of hope and healing. Today, let's ride that wave together. Let's honor those who have donated blood in the past, and let's commit to giving blood ourselves to ensure that there will always be enough blood for those who need it. 🥳Happy World Blood Donor Day🩸🥳 #GiveBloodSaveLives #WorldBloodDonorDay #Maternalandchildhealthadvocate #FOMABFoundation

🌹Roses 🌹 are red, violets are blue… Donating 🩸blood🩸saves lives, it's true! This Valentine’s Day, join Market Performance Group in making a meaningful impact by donating blood to those in need. In the spirit of love and compassion, let's come together to give the gift of life! America is facing the lowest number of blood donations in 20 years, causing only about 7% of blood centers to have a blood supply sufficient to meet normal medical demands and forcing the American Red Cross to declare an emergency blood shortage. The blood shortage threatens patient care and forces doctors to make extremely difficult decisions about who receives the limited blood supply. However, we CAN help. With your blood donation, you can be the reason that someone’s heart continues to beat. Pledge to donate through our MPG’s Sweetheart Donors virtual blood drive by March 31st by clicking the link below. You will be provided a list of locations for blood drives near you where you can make an appointment to donate. Click here to pledge your life-saving donation: https://lnkd.in/eW6KAUkW Due to federal laws, there are some restrictions on donating blood. If this is your first time donating, please contact a medical professional or visit the Red Cross's eligibility page to verify your donation eligibility: https://lnkd.in/eDYM75E #MarketPerformanceGroup #MPG #MPGGiveBack #MPGsSweetheartDonors #BloodDrive #DonateBlood #GiveLoveGiveBlood #LoveInEveryDrop

It's National Donor Day! This day raises awareness of the live-saving benefits of five different types of donation – Organs, Tissues, Marrow, Platelets, and Blood, especially for our littlest warriors. Valentine’s Day, and every day for that matter, is the perfect day to share the love by committing to saving and healing lives through donation. This encounter between Jane and Tim truly made me well up! Confirming your decision to be an organ donor can have a huge impact. It can help put your family's mind at ease, and you can potentially save multiple lives after your own passing. It only takes 2 minutes: act now. https://lnkd.in/g9Tpfjf #organdonation #OrganDonationWeek
‘If I didn’t have it, I wouldn’t be here.’ Jane’s son Kit sadly passed away in 2020, but his legacy lives on after he donated his heart to save another person’s life. That person was Tim, who recently met Kit’s family, including his mum Jane, to say thank you. Jane was also able to listen to Kit’s heart beat again. Amazingly, Kit’s legacy doesn’t end with saving Tim’s life, as his organs helped three other people too. There are 7,000 people in the UK waiting for an organ transplant, but only around 1,400 donors a year. Confirming your organ donation decision can help put your family's mind at ease, it only takes 2 minutes but could save up to 9 lives. Act now. https://lnkd.in/g9Tpfjf #OrganDonation #OrganDonationWeek 🎥: ITV News
