Tape, scrape, paint, repeat! 🏡 This weekend, KEPHART-ians dedicated their Saturday to painting a house for Brothers Redevelopment, Inc.’s annual Paint-A-Thon. For two decades, we've supported the non-profit's mission to provide older Coloradans with a beautiful place to call home. KEPHART joined forces with ten other groups around the Denver metro area, assisting fixed-income seniors in saving thousands of dollars in maintenance costs. Proud to impact these seniors’ lives and support such a meaningful cause! #CommunityService #PaintAThon #MakingADifference #BrothersRedevelopment

What is Runners Pledge? 1. Get folks to move. Virtual 5k's are a low barrier to entry and something you can do with friends. 2. We donate a percentage of registration earnings to various non-profits. We are also accepting suggestions of non-profits for future 5k's. 3. Spread awareness for runner safety. More and more women are coming forward regarding the harassment they've experienced. We hope to contribute to awareness and education to communities to put a stop to senseless harassment and attacks on women runners/walker/hikers.

What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio #leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool! "The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are. *Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation. This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together. Your support means the world and will help create positive change in our community. P.S. The socks are pretty cool as well https://lnkd.in/gKJnfwB6

Inspiration alert! A non-profit in North Carolina has found a fresh, creative way to honor our heroes and further their cause. They have launched a gallery showcasing veteran’s artwork, educating the public and inspiring a sense of community. This is not just about appreciation of art, but storytelling and connection - two powerful strategies in non-profit marketing we often overlook. It serves as a shining example for us all - we can raise awareness, bring in funds, and drive engagement by merely lending a voice & platform to our constituents. Let's remember no story is too small to make an impact. Your non-profit's work matters. Keep pushing boundaries! #NonProfitSuccess #NobleCause #MarketingSolutions #BusinessGoals #GiveHopeDaily

Want to have an impact in your community, but don't know where to start? Here's your guide to getting involved with DIGS: 1. Donate your gently used furniture & home goods to our warehouse, where they will be used to turn a house into a home for a Chicago family in need. Way better than wasting away in a landfill! We are open for donations Mondays & Wednesdays from 10am - 3pm. Scuff marks & stuck drawers are welcome :) 2. Sign up for a volunteer shift in the warehouse! Learn what a family wants to see in their home, then select furniture & home goods to bring their design ideas to life. Or spend your shift in the workshop upcycling furniture and home goods to be like-new for a DIGS family! 3. Join us for a DIGS Day! We move in a truck full of goodies every week, and we need hands to do it! Whether you want to volunteer solo, with your friends & family, or with your corporate team, we've got a DIGS Day for you. 4. Donate funds to support our organization as we continue to grow into our goal of breaking the cycle of homelessness one family at a time!

24 January 2024 Of Threads and Needles... Meet a set of talented and creative friends, one of a few sets, who are also my #sistersnasikawah embarking on yet another crafts project for #charity. And the cause we're championing this time? Hint: green, red, and black. And #watermelon! As usual, when it comes to pins and needles and threads and pieces of cloths, the project leader has to be Nik Ainun or fondly known as Nikky. The GoodOnes Quilting Sisters, they are called...because they started with Nikky teaching a group of the GoodOnes quilting, and they have moved on to other sewing related #projects since. To support the cause of this project, they took orders for pencil cases, boxy pouches, and tote bags. All with watermelon as the theme. For now, orders are confined to us, the GoodOnes (TKC MCE'79). Given time and resources, Nikky plans to open her classes, and the orders to other interested parties. A fun and fulfilling way to occupy oneself #postretirement, in-between running businesses and households, don't you think? Can't wait to get my boxy pouch and tote bag. I know Arlina Ariff, Wan Hailah Wan Yahya, Mastura Abdul Rahman, and Razimah Hanim Abu-Zarim will produce top notch quality work! And what about you...what do you fill your in-between time with? Whatever you do, make it worthwhile, make it matter, and make it fun! Ana #lifeworkbalance #softskillstrainer #softskillstraining #softskills
Nik Ainun on Instagram: "Yesterday, we had a session to cut up the materials for a project we are doing for a charitable cause. We hope to make tote bags, boxy pouches, and pencil cases to sell. Currently, we are just doing it among our school friends and close relatives only. If we think we can handle more orders after this 1st round of orders, we just might start opening up to take orders from o
