During this time, we've seen ups and downs, overcome challenges and celebrated successes together. Above all, we have worked together as a team to realize our vision and achieve our goals. Today is a day of gratitude, appreciation and anticipation for all that is to come. Let's take a moment to reflect on the past and look forward to the future of MetShape! While our collection of photos and images is primarily a reflection of our friendship and team spirit, the following facts should give you a brief, factual impression of our history: How it all began... The REProMag research project started back in 2015, under the leadership of Prof. Carlo Burkhardt, with an initial idea for LMM technology. Fast forward two years to 2017 and the breakthrough LMM technology was invented. This achievement paved the way for the founding of our company in 2019, which was supported by the Young Innovators programme of the state of Baden-Württemberg. As a spin-off from Pforzheim University, we enjoy close collaboration. The expansion of our machine park and the investment by AM Ventures in June 2021 have greatly increased our potential. We are currently working on exciting projects with a team of 16 dedicated employees, a diverse range of machinery and a growing customer base. Through our participation in the ESA Business Accelerator and our sales partnership with the US, we made significant progress in 2022, including securing our first serial order. At the same time, we ran the IMPriNT (NiTiNol) research project from 2021 to 2023. Also in 2023, our first parts were successfully sent to the International Space Station ISS. We look forward to certifying our products, researching new materials and expanding our volume production. Our research is currently focused on titanium alloys, specifically TIAI6V4 Grade 5 and NiTi. It’s hard to believe it’s been officially five years since we stood up Kion as a company and started the journey to help organizations tame the complexity of the cloud. Yesterday in our monthly company meeting, I reminisced with our team about the BIG problems we overcame in that first month as a business…from our public website going down at 5:30AM on Saturday September 1st (which admittedly was a bit of an ominous start), to standing up O365, Slack, our Support Portal in Zendesk, getting business cards designed and printed, and supporting some of our early customers and prospects as they began using our product in ways we hadn’t thought of. But one of the things I remember so fondly was when Marianna, Tara, Joseph, David, Matt, Eric and I sat in a room to pull together the first draft of our mission, vision and company values that still today largely reflect what we decided in September 2018. The opportunity ahead was unlimited and for largely inexperienced folks building a startup from the ground up, I think we ended up getting a lot more things right than we did wrong. Building a startup is really hard work and it’s easy to feel you haven’t come very far or made much progress. But I’d encourage every leader to pause and look back on things from time to time…you’ll see how much you have grown. I’m so proud of what our company has become and the impact it’s had in just 5 years which excites me so much for what we will achieve over the next 5 years. And it does all come back to the people…the Kioneers that give it their all every day to relentlessly turn customers into fans, the customers that took a chance with us and helped us refine our capabilities, and the partners that extended our reach and abilities. Givers Gain! This statement was given by Peter Arvell, one of the colleagues I respect most and miss most at Koenigsegg Automotive AB This mentality - where you give value to others without expecting, or demanding anything in return builds genuine trust and strong relationships. And trust and relationships are necessary critical building blocks in the ecosystem economy. Givers receive, without demanding or asking for it, many times greater value in return, which is the very point of the ecosystem economy. And innovation in ecosystem, or co-creation is a competitive capability- a superpower. Therefore, today's tip for #disruptive #innovation- but more so for #human #solidarity, given all turbulence in society all over the world, is also a tribute to my dear friend Peter Arvell : give more because givers gain!

Look who's just turned 50 Now I am far too young to remember this toy hitting the market, but I can remember being obsessed with the one my grandparents had in their house...but weirdly we were not allowed to touch. They must have known that we would totally have peeled off the stickers to hack the challenge...so it was probably a wise decision. Inventor Ernő Rubik is quoted as saying 'Yes, I made other things, too but people only want to talk about the cube.' That's the thing with ideas that stick. In an article with wallpaper.com about the 50 year anniversary he says,  'The cube has lived so long, and, in my view, it still seems alive and full of energy for the next generations, so it’s an interesting thing. All I wanted to do was put something together and share it with people.' It is that final piece that strikes a chord for me...it is the sharing that makes it so powerful. Without the hype, the novelty, the powerful marketing that made this the go-to toy of the 80s, would this invention still be having such an impact decades later? Innovation isn't enough. Without a solid route to market plan, without momentum, activation, creating a buzz, how many ideas or products die a death because creators, founders, inventors don't get their head around the business side of things? Getting your ideas, your products, your services, your inventions to the people that need them, that takes business acumen, marketing know how, and a bit of viral luck...who knows what we will be celebrating 50 years of in 50 years from now? Today we're celebrating one year of Holdson! 1️⃣ 🎂 We've come a long way since we first started trading last April, and we can't wait to see what's in store for year 2. Reflecting on the past year, we've achieved some significant milestones: ⏺ Successfully built and launched our alpha line of machines, with more in production to meet growing demand. ⏺ Settled into our first office, providing us with a dedicated space to drive our vision forward. ⏺ Grown from a team of 7 to a team of 18, each member bringing unique expertise and passion to our mission. ⏺ Shipped an EF-300 machine overseas to showcase at Formnext - Where ideas take shape 2023 in Germany, showcasing our cutting-edge technology on a global stage. ⏺ Formed collaborations with universities such as the The University of Huddersfield and the University of Birmingham, including hiring a KTP Associate to drive innovation. ⏺ Started two exciting projects with AMPI and Innovate UK, expanding our reach and impact in the industry. ⏺ Explored overseas markets by visiting Singapore as part of the Global Explorers Programme and attending Additive Manufacturing Forum I AM Forum Berlin in both 2023 and 2024. Great discoveries involve the cooperation of many minds. As true teamwork advocates, we recently witnessed another testament to its power during our latest sprint! 💥 In November, our Stockholm campus hummed with the energy of over 90 students united by a common brief and a singular client – Volvo Group, specifically Volvo Construction Equipment. This dynamic sprint involved three full-time programs - AI Business Consultant, Design Lead, and Content Developer, each contributing a spectrum of diverse expertise. 🎥 Today's video offers a comprehensive view of this collaborative project, featuring insights from Volvo representatives, our students, and Hyper Island's Learning Partnership Team. Dive into the experience! 🚜 The brief presented a nuanced challenge. With Volvo's accelerated adoption of carbon-free technologies, our students were tasked with crafting a solution to facilitate a smoother and more efficient process for customers navigating this transformative shift in the automotive landscape. The diverse backgrounds of our teams, spanning content creation, design, and AI integration, resulted in a wide array of outcomes. The final presentations showcased a spectrum of bold, tangible, creative, intelligent, and unique ideas. 💪 A special acknowledgment goes to Victoria Todorova, the driving force behind orchestrating this sprint from A to Z! Kudos for your hard work and unwavering dedication! 🤝 Our heartfelt thanks extend to all the Volvo representatives who invested their time in close collaboration with our students over these intense three days, maintaining open minds to the presented ideas.
