But it’s also important to help them develop independence, so they can grow into confident and capable adults. So let them take risks. Trying new things that encourage physical activity won’t just help them grow strong, it will help grow their confidence. It can be scary to watch your kids take risks, but it’s important for them to learn how to push themselves and try new things. So don’t be afraid to encourage them to take on new challenges, even if they might fail. And remember, it’s a process. It’s okay if there are setbacks along the way.
