Yesterday was National Stress Awareness Day— a call to recognise how we navigate through life's pressures with awareness. And just as one bold stroke can define a painting, a single setback often feels like it colours our entire day. But it doesn't have to. Here are simple, actionable steps you can take to lean into stress when it arrives: 1️⃣ Pause: When stress hits, stop. Take a deep breath. Allow yourself a moment of stillness to recognize what’s happening. 2️⃣ Feel: Identify the stress. Is it a tightness in your chest? A racing mind? Acknowledge these sensations without judgment. 3️⃣ Choose: Decide how you'll respond. Will you take a quick walk, practice deep breathing, or reach out to a friend? 4️⃣ Act: Implement your choice. By taking action, you’re not just pausing the stress; you’re moving through it. 5️⃣ Reflect: Afterward, reflect on the experience. What worked? What didn’t? Learn from each stress encounter to manage the next one better. Remember, whilst stress can be a part of life, it doesn’t have to dominate your day. #StressAwarenessDay #Stress #MentalHealth
