If you are going to use the pull out method here are my 4 tips: ⚠️ (Please note that the pull-out method is about 80% effective, and odds of pregnancy are always higher on the 5 days leading up to, and during, ovulation.) 1. you trust and know the person you are sleeping with and you trust they will pull out 2. both you and your partner have been tested for sti's before sleeping together 3. you are able to check if you are ovulating or not 4. you use another form of contraception with this, such as the morning-after pill, IUD, diaphragm etc. (super important!) 💬 Do you have any other tips you know? share in the comments 💦 #birthcontrol #hormones #contraception #pullout #sexualhealth #sexualwellbeing #sexeducator

Have you ever heard of #LARC (long-acting reversible contraception)? If you’re female, you may use a LARC method to prevent pregnancy. Among females aged 15-19 in 2015-2019, the use of LARCs rose significantly, according to a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study. Yet, another study found that less than 1/3 of women of reproductive age are fully informed about their LARC options. As people consider different modes of #contraception to reach their reproductive goals, it is important for women to have access to, and an understanding of, all their contraceptive options, including LARCs.
