When KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools was founded in 2003, we started with a simple, but powerful idea…if we help children develop the academic and character skills they need for college and choice-filled lives, they will be able to build a better tomorrow for themselves and their communities. And that is exactly what they are doing. Learn about what some of our alums are up to now and mark your calendars to support future students on KIPP Philly’s Day of Giving this Friday. #kippphilly #kippalums #celebrating20 #futurewithoutlimits

“My Mummy works in a school, but she's not a teacher” – my daughter, aged 7. This got me thinking, how do I explain to my 7-and 4-year-old what I do? Answer Attempt #1: Mummy is a Storyteller. Pretty accurate, right? One aspect of my role is having the responsibility of capturing and sharing the essence of my schools through narratives, experiences, and moments. Together with my team, we weave stories of our students, staff, and the school itself, highlighting achievements, challenges, and aspirations. And through storytelling, we bring life to the values, culture, and identity of our school, helping others to understand and connect with what makes us special. It's about painting a vivid picture of who we are and the impact we have, one story at a time. That’s why I am incredibly proud to share the launch our Create Your Story campaign, where authenticity became the guiding principle of our brief. Too often, we see marketing efforts focus solely on showcasing facilities, products or numbers neglecting the authentic stories that breathe life into statistics. Our mission was clear: show, don't tell. Go take a look, let me know what you think. https://lnkd.in/ecYQUgNk #CreateYourStory #BrandStory #CreativeCampaigns #StrategicStorytelling

Tampa Bay is a haven for homeschoolers. Nearly 11,000 homeschool students live in Hillsborough alone — more than any other school district in Florida. About another 9,000 live in Pasco and Pinellas, according to the most recent numbers from school districts. To understand what’s behind the explosive growth, we spoke with two dozen families from across the region who have chosen to teach their kids at home. Hear how three local families described their decision — and how experts say they fit in with broader trends: https://trib.al/4VWEsPt

Seeking a solution for our expanding communities 🏠🌱 In the quaint setting of Kent, notable changes are stirring. As we watch new homes sprout around Cranbrook, our thoughts naturally turn to education. With family houses come children, and with children come the responsibility to provide quality schooling 🏫. That's the clarion call echoing from the heart of Kent's picturesque countryside. Cranbrook School's esteemed headteacher has spoken out for the need to reconsider the closed High Weald Academy. His voice isn't just a lone call in the wilderness; it reflects a concern shared by many, sparked by the sharp rise in local housing developments. Surely, those echoing halls and empty classrooms could once again be filled with the sounds of learning and growth. It's not about constructing new barriers but reopening doors, using existing resources to meet very real needs. How do we balance the scales between growing populations and sustaining the quality of education? Dialogue, cooperation, and perhaps a look at what's already before us. It's not merely about a single school's capacities; it's about fostering a thriving, educated, harmonious community. Let's start a conversation 🗣️ - Do you believe in breathing new life into the existing infrastructure to support our children's education? How have population changes in your region impacted local schooling options? Join the dialogue below or reach out to explore better possibilities at rikama-education.com. Our future generations are counting on us. #Education #Community #KentSchools
