As many try to raise awareness of and fight off this distracted driving epidemic, there are ways fleets can help decrease distracted driving.

Distractions on the road and in the car can have serious consequences for drivers behind the wheel. When we think about distracted driving, we often think about mobile phones. Distracted driving, however, is so much broader and more complex than that and the work needed to tackle this growing issue requires a systems-based approach. Multitasking Is A Myth In 2022, distracted driving killed 3,308 people. April is Distracted Driving Awareness month. Here, at Craig, Kelley & Faultless, we encourage drivers to stop trying to multitask with cell phones while driving, and to instead focus on the road ahead. Interesting concept Every year, hundreds get caught in police speed controls for driving too fast — with many caught by automatic speed cameras. But did you know there’s a way to avoid the hefty fines accompanying speeding? Here’s how to cleverly avoid speeding fines. 1. Look closely at the road signs showing you the speed limit. The number indicated is the maximum speed you can travel on foot, by bike, or in a car. 2. Try to locate your car’s speedometer. You usually find it on the dashboard in front of the driver’s seat. An arrow pointing to the number reflects the car’s speed. On newer cars, the speed is sometimes displayed digitally, with numbers. 3. This last point is also the hardest. Adjust your speed according to the number shown on the road sign. The police can not fine you if you do not drive over this number. Strangely, there seem to be surprisingly too few who are aware of this simple yet genius trick. And best of all, if you stick to it, you’ll never have to pay a speeding fine again. Even better — the road will become much safer for everyone!
